Mathias Gunnarsson @ThatCanadian S95-S98 (1x Founder's Cup) Next week, I'll GM my first game without having Gunnarsson on the team- he was a mainstay for an Aces team that really needed an anchor in seasons 96 and 98, and an essential part of our two finals runs in seasons 95 and 97. During his career, he played for Aces teams that averaged only 58% of the AVERAGE scoring for Las Vegas historically. He was always one of the major contributors on the team, and despite the low scoring managed to find his way into the top 10 all-time defensemen scorers in both goals and points. Obviously this isn't an actually way to extrapolate data, but if we assumed Gunnarsson played for an even averagely scoring Aces team and accrued the same point share, he'd be top 3 statistically and average more P/G per game than anyone. Gunnarsson played 244 regular season games for Vegas spanning 4 seasons, making the postseason 3 times and winning the Founder's Cup in S97. He earned 47 goals and 164 assists for Vegas in those 244 games, and 27 points in 37 playoff games. He captained the team in S98, and posted career highs in P (59), SHT (193), HIT (227), SB (188), and PPG (14). He moves up to the Seattle Bears to begin his VHL career, and we wish him all the best!

Since I'm of course not going to be retiring numbers left and right while GM of Vegas (that is an incredibly high standard), I'd like to induct people into what I'll refer to as a "Ring of Honor". This will only be for players that I've gotten to GM, which I think makes sense, and I hope any future GMs will take this up and continue it! I think it's a fun way to celebrate these players! The first inductee, despite only playing one season with the team, will be OCO. Onyekachukwu Chidieber Oluwaseun @TenIQ S97 (1x Founder's Cup) S97 Benoit Devereux and Skylar Rift Trophies OCO didn't spend too long with Vegas, playing 60 regular season games and 16 playoff games, but that season is a truly historic one for the franchise. The LVA offense lacked a scoring touch, and managed only 126 goals, the second least in our long history. We finished 6th in the league regardless (despite having the second lowest goal total), largely due to the dominance of Oluwaseun. The Aces lost 20 games in regulation, and an unbelievable 20 in overtime as well, showing how he was able to keep them in games throughout the season. His .923 SV% through 60 regular season games is the highest career SV% of any Aces goalie, and his GAA of 1.52 breaks both single-season and career records. When playoffs came around, the Aces looked like a whole new team, and dispatched a heavily favored Miami Marauders team in 5 games, scoring 16 goals and clicking at a whopping 38.7% on the power play (12/31). Saskatoon they also had little trouble with, and they took care of the Wild in 5 games. OCO stood tallest against Halifax in the finals, posting a .924 SV% in the six games the series lasted. Vegas won at home in a dramatic game six, and a goal to make it 3-1 with under 5 minutes to play sealed our cup win. OCO assisted on all 3 goals in that game. It was an odd decision to have to make, putting a goalie who played only one season with us up here, but it is thoroughly deserved. Cheers and keep it up in Moscow!

I've been looking forward to this Great article, thank you for the trophy and the kind words

Chicago won't regret it! I am incredibly happy to have you as part of the team and am excited to compete for a cup together.

1. if you were to grade Vegas's draft what would the grade be? A+ baby! I was overjoyed to have the opportunity to draft every single one of our draft picks, and some of them fell way further than they should have. 2. What does everyone think of their new teammates/friends? Y'all are wonderful, I'm very happy with this group. 3. Are you as excited as I am for the upcoming season? HELL YEAH IT'S COMING HOME! I see the cup in our future. 4. The entire team is going out to dinner to celebrate the draft and our new friends and you get to pick, where are we going? Yeah I think everyone is in pretty decent agreement on steakhouse . Can't go wrong with that. 5. You are tasked with picking the team anthem, what song are you picking? I think I still rock with The Score's Unstoppable. and now for the most important question. 6. Who do we do it for? WE DO IT FOR HIM! PRAISE BE

It’s a sim league draft stream; it’s not that deep. Your feedback has evidently been noticed and it really is okay to withdraw from a conversation when the alternative is arguing immaturely over a single stream for a league you’ve expressly stated you want to leave as soon as possible.
