  1. There is a new leader emerging in Chicago when it comes to career regular season games played as a goalie. Ryan Artyomov has now tied the all-time franchise record, as today he started and played in his 513th game behind the pipes for the Phoenix. It’s an impressive milestone and a true testament to his consistency, durability, and impact on the team over the years. As this is expected to be his final season with the Phoenix, he now has a golden opportunity to break the record tomorrow, setting a new benchmark in franchise history. Throughout his outstanding career, Artyomov has maintained a stellar .922 save percentage and a 2.91 goals-against average. In addition, he has recorded 20 shutouts and faced over 19,000 shots. He has been nothing short of a brick wall in net for Chicago. While he may retire without a championship ring, Artyomov’s legacy is undeniable. Congratulations to Ryan Artyomov on an incredible and inspiring career. @Enorama
  2. Game 333: Miami Marauders vs Philadelphia Reapers Final: MIA 3 - PHI 5 Philadelphia came in thinking this game would be a free two points because they were playing the last place Marauders, but they had to fight. Joseph Poole (38) got them on the board early on the power play. Miami answered just over three minutes later with a power play goal of their own from Asahi Kiriguya (2). Less than four minutes later, Jakub Kovar (32) put the Reapers back in the lead on the powerplay. In the second period, Miami scored twice. The goals came from Lursa Duras (4) and Chase Breeze (9) with the latter being scored on the power play. In the third period, the Reapers didn't hold back. Joseph Poole (39,40) scored twice to complete the hat trick and Danny Ross (32) also scored. This game did show weaknesses for Philadelphia's goalie Tony Bob who let in 3 goals on only 18 shots. The Reapers will need him in peak for for the playoffs. 3 Stars: 1. Joseph Poole (3 Goals, 1 Hit) 2. Alto Red (3 Assists) (He also had 11 shots and 0 goals. Tough night for his finishing but he was a great teammate.) 3. Jakub Kovar (1 Goal, 1 Assist, 1 Hit)
  3. GM 334: Houston Bulls vs Saskatoon Wild Final Score: HOU 5 - SSK 4 This game was a powerplay slug fest with a total seven goals being scored on the man advantage. Houston scored early with two unlikely goal scorers in Robin Sierra (18) on the powerplay and Natalia Nano (2). After Jack Jack was put in the box for Houston for interference, Egor Shomin (30) capitalized by getting a shot by goalie Bartholomew Lorequavius to cut the Houston lead to one. But just six seconds later, Gingy (30) put one past Wild goaltender Diego Adam to extend the Houston lead back to two. In the second period the Wild scored two powerplay goals to even the score. It was Lorenzo Mancini (28) and Chris Barbre (7) who scored. With it all tied up, Gingy (31) capitalized off of a Cj Daniels cross check to give the Bulls the lead. Later, when Houston was on the power play once again, Hunter s (33) put home an insurance goal that would prove to be vital. Because with under a minute to go, the league leading goal scorer Cj Daniels (49) struck once again. However, Saskatoon was unable to score in the last 48 seconds to give Houston the 5-4 win. 3 Stars: 1. Gingy (HOU)(2 Goals, 1 Assist, 3 Hits) 2. Feki Oha Kau (HOU)(2 Assists) 3. Egor Shomin (SSK)(1 Goal, 1 Assist, 1 Shot Blocked) Feel like Cj Daniels and Hunter s deserved the 2nd and 3rd stars but they both had crucial penalties.

  5. The Mississauga Hounds will be in the playoffs this year and will be chasing a cup. They made a big trade at the deadline to pick up Captain Nugget Jr.. But what about past this season? Are they set up for future success? That is what we will be looking at today. In the upcoming draft, where there are tons of high end prospects, the Hounds have two firsts, two fourths, and a seventh round pick. That will be five players that they will be adding and we don't even know what trades they might make. At last seasons draft, the Hounds traded for Sidney Sheppard, who has been a star for the Hounds. The Hounds will likely lose David VanHousen, captain Kurt Bachmann, Captain Nugget Jr., and Sidney Sheppard. They will have to rely on their two first round picks and Avery Acres, Jay Sikes, MacGregor Walcott, and Hank Smith next year if they want to contend. That is a really solid core and they will bring back goaltender Yor Bjorven who will certainly be a top goalie this upcoming season. The east could become a gauntlet next year with Philadelphia and Halifax likely losing very little players. Ottawa is on the rise and could add a lot of talent in the draft with 4 picks in the first 3 rounds. So who will the Hounds need to step up? My choice is winger MacGregor Walcott. The offense is losing a lot of talent and they will need another star or two to rise up. Jay Sikes has been great this year and Avery Acres has been clutch this year with 7 game winning goals so far. Walcott has 46 points in 68 games for the Hounds and will be a crucial piece next year for the Hounds. One area of this team that should be strong next year is defense. They will be returning Hank Smith, Remain Six Meters Back From Me, and Takashi Borisyuk. Three players might not sound great, but it is great when all of them will be entering their (in what I consider their) VHLM primes next year. And with two first rounders, the can add a star defender in the draft. After a quick rebuild after the cup win in S96, the Hounds are right back into contention. Although they still have the playoffs to play this season, it is never to early to look at the future. And as we have seen, next season could be a interesting one with all the players teams will add in the draft. Thank you for reading and tell me what you think in the comments/replies! I will try to make this a series and Philadelphia will be next if I do. Happy Playoffs everyone!
  6. I'm interested but I don't have STHS because i'm on a mac. I can do everything you need except submitting lines.
  7. If y'all can beat Houston, I will forgive you for Milkman
  8. The VHLM playoffs are soon arriving as the trade deadline has passed. Here is an outlook for each team that is in a playoff position right now in standings order. 1. Houston: The top team in the league and are definitely the favorites to win the cup. Acquiring Gingy @MexicanCow123, Dog Jagr @koty_k, and Cardinal Copia @Beketov has been a big plus so far and each of those players should make a big impact come playoff time. @SMYLS4 has his team looking good entering the playoffs. 2. Philadelphia: The top team in the east also made a couple of moves at the deadline acquiring Danny Ross @Spartakiller2 and goalie Tony Bob @Baby Boomer. Philadelphia has been led by Alto Red @alto_red who has 90 points as of the time of this writing. 3. Halifax: The team who thought they were destined to win it all last year will have a tough path to a chip. With the likely road of Mississauga, Philadelphia, and Houston, the 21st will have to have an historic run to win and they are a team who can do it. However, they didn't make one trade at the deadline and might have a lack of star power. Hater Tottingham @Trunkxolotl leads the team with 68 points. 4. Mexico City: The kings gained winger Ryan Mantzz @Rkhockey9 at the deadline as their lone move. They will be favored in round one but would have a tough matchup in round two if they make it against Houston assuming Houston wins. Going into the playoffs goaltender Pepe Silva @STZ can steal them a few games for sure. 5. Mississauga: The Hounds acquired Captain Nugget Jr. @Captain nugget and he has made an immediate impact. Many eyes will be on the Mississauga-Halifax series as it will probably be the most competitive of the first round. Forwards Sidney Sheppard @GoodLeftUndone, David VanHousen @David VanHousen, and Jay Sikes @JaySmacksss will be essential to the Hounds success in the playoffs. 6. Saskatoon: Saskatoon were sellers at the deadline as they traded Captain Nugget Jr. and Tony Bob and will likely be taken out in the first round or two although they still have a superstar and a league leading goal scorer in CJ Daniels @xNJDevilsFanx. 7. Las Vegas: After winning the cup last year, @sadie has the Aces in line for another playoff spot but don't expect too much from them against Houston. But we will get a lot of boings in the last 12 games of the playoffs. And they can win the inaugural "Cup of Milk Cup" if they beat Mississauga in a few days in the "Battle For The Milk" rivalry. 8. Ottawa: Here is your participation trophy for the playoffs Ottawa! Ottawa will have a difficult matchup in round one against Philadelphia. Who do you think will win? Reply to this topic telling me who!
  9. The Mississauga Hounds are on a nine game win streak and an eleven game point streak and are dominating the ice. They have now tied the Halifax 21st in points for second in the east and have beat the top team in the east twice on this win streak. @ace_five_ has his guys ready for the playoffs. A big part of the reason has been the play of @David VanHousen, who has been on fire since joining the hounds halfway through the season. Forward Avery Acres says, "He is always an impactful player on the ice and generates tons of great chances to score. He is always moving around to get open or trying to find the right pass for a teammate to score." VanHousen has arguably been the best pickup so far on the season. Another reason that this team is doing so well is the lack of penalties. The penalty minutes have gone down in the past fifteen to twenty games. Two players specifically who are both known for high penalty minutes have really slowed down on penalties, Kurt Bachmann and Avery Acres. While still playing tough and physical, Bachmann has been going to the box a lot less than earlier in the season. Goalie @Rin Yor Bjorven has also been really really good this season. He is 31-16-5 with 7 shutouts. His GAA of 2.06 is really good considering the Hounds start to the season. Acres said about Bjorven, "He keeps us in so many games with some insane saves. Even if us forwards make a mistake, Bjorven bails us out time and time again. He can put the team on his back at some points. And his leadership can be matched by only a few." Another factor has been the goal scoring abilities of @JaySmacksss Jay Sikes and @GoodLeftUndone Sidney Sheppard. Sikes and Sheppard, the two top goal scores on the hounds as of right now, have been lighting goalies on fire. They have been great finishers when they have the puck. Even with all the goals they score, they also gain a good amount of assists. Another guy who has scored the most game winning goals on the team with seven, Avery Acres, has been clutch. Although many think Houston is going to run away with the cup, don't sleep on a team like Mississauga. We know that they are actively looking for a trade at the deadline, so don't be surprised if they make a splash. With another star player, the Hounds could be elevated to the next level. We'll see how good they are tomorrow against the aforementioned Houston Bulls. They could be a sneaky dark horse pick in the playoffs this year.
  10. As we pass the halfway mark of the season, teams are locking in for a playoff push. But that doesn't take out the importance of rivalry games. The "Battle For The Milk" rivalry between the Mississauga Hounds and Las Vegas Aces is tied 2-2 at the moment after a 1-0 overtime win from the Hounds. Heroes have been made in these games, whether it was Avery Acres and Yor Bjorven in the first game or Ethan Ashcroft in the second and third games, or Jay Sikes who just scored the overtime winner in the last meeting between the teams, players will be appreciated by their fans for their performaces. Hounds winger Avery Acres said, "Obviously the main goal is the playoffs and a chip, but we still mark these games with Vegas on the calendar. It's always going to be a chippy game and low scoring, and we like it that way. Bjorven has already shut them out twice. We know we can't get to aggressive trying to be a hero." As the season comes to a close, these Vegas-Mississauga games will be must see TV.
  11. Kurt Bachmann: Captain Hound The theme this week is "tough guy," and there is no one better to fit this role than Mississauga Hounds defenseman and captain, @Blutch Kurt Bachmann. The Hounds' leader has been a dominant force on the ice, setting the tone with his physical play and defensive prowess. So far this season, Bachmann has amassed 157 hits (ranking 2nd in the league), blocked 85 shots (5th), and racked up an impressive 117 penalty minutes (1st). His willingness to throw his body around and step up for his teammates has made him an invaluable presence for the Hounds. Bachmann embodies the spirit of a true enforcer on the ice. He is a player who never shies away from contact and is always looking to make an impact, whether through a big hit, a blocked shot, or standing up for his teammates. Opposing players know that when they see Bachmann coming, they better brace themselves because he is relentless. His physicality is unmatched, and his reputation as a bruising defenseman has made him one of the most feared players in the league. Throughout his career, Bachmann has made it clear that he is not afraid to drop the gloves when necessary. Whether it is to defend a teammate, send a message to the opposing team, or fire up the crowd, he is always willing to step up. Fans have come to expect the occasional fight from Bachmann, and they watch in awe whenever he sheds the gloves. His fights are not just about aggression but also about leadership—he knows when to engage and when to step back, making him an intelligent enforcer rather than just a brawler. Teammates have nothing but praise for Bachmann’s leadership and dedication to the team. Forward Avery Acres, who is second on the team in penalty minutes with 46, acknowledges Bachmann’s role as both a protector and a defensive stalwart. "He is just a defensive playmaker and will always defend us when something happens. I mean, I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, but I would not want to be in a tilt with him," Acres said with a laugh. Bachmann's ability to read the game and anticipate plays allows him to be in the right place at the right time, whether it is to deliver a crushing hit, clear the crease, or block a crucial shot. While many focus on Bachmann’s physical play and fighting ability, his shot-blocking skills are equally impressive. He consistently puts his body on the line, sacrificing himself to prevent pucks from reaching the net. His willingness to take the brunt of a hard shot is a testament to his selflessness and dedication to the team. Goaltender Yor Bjorven certainly appreciates Bachmann’s commitment to defense, as every blocked shot makes his job a little easier. "Having a guy like Bachmann in front of you is a huge confidence booster. You know he’s going to do everything in his power to keep pucks from getting through." Kurt Bachmann is the definition of a tough guy. He is a relentless force on the ice, a leader in the locker room, and a player who embodies the hard-nosed, blue-collar mentality that makes hockey so exciting. Whether it's throwing massive hits, dropping the gloves, or sacrificing his body to block a shot, he does it all for his team. The Mississauga Hounds are lucky to have him, and as the season continues, fans can expect more hard-nosed, passionate hockey from their fearless captain.
  12. Houston going all in
  13. The picture would not load, idk why
  14. As of right now, Right Wing Avery Acres of the Mississauga Hounds has 11 goals, 11 assists, and 22 points in 24 games. One of the cooler stories of the VHLM is his upbringing and journey to hockey and the VHL. Being a kid from Atlanta, Georgia, hockey wasn’t the most common sport in his area. Growing up in a region dominated by football, baseball, and basketball, it was almost expected that he would pursue one of those. His early years were spent playing football as a running back, baseball as a shortstop, and basketball as a shooting guard. But as much as he loved competing, none of these sports truly ignited the passion he would later find in hockey. That all changed when he was 11 years old. One evening, flipping through channels at home, he stumbled upon a Game 7 matchup between the Boston Bruins and the Carolina Hurricanes in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He had never watched a full hockey game before, but something about the intensity, the crowd's energy, and the fast-paced action on the ice mesmerized him. He had always kind of liked Carolina but never watched them. Using ESPN+, he sat through the entire game, watching in awe as the Hurricanes secured a dramatic victory. The excitement of the game stuck with him, and in the following round, he made sure to watch all seven games as Carolina fought hard but ultimately fell short. Even though they lost, the young boy from Georgia was hooked. Hockey had found a new fan, and soon enough, it would find a new player. At the time, Acres was only playing baseball, but the seed had been planted. He kept watching games, learning the rules, and becoming obsessed with the sport. However, hockey wasn’t exactly easy to get into where he lived. Ice rinks were scarce, and he had never even skated before. It wasn’t until two years later, when he was 13, that he decided to take the leap and give hockey a real shot. The transition wasn’t smooth—learning to skate proved to be a humbling experience. While other kids his age were already flying across the ice with ease, Acres was struggling to keep his balance, often falling hard on the ice. But he refused to give up. Every day after school, he dedicated himself to improving, spending countless hours at the rink working on his stride, balance, and agility. Once he felt comfortable on skates, the rest of his game began to take off. He joined a recreational team and, despite being a latecomer to the sport, quickly became a standout player. His athletic background gave him an advantage, and his natural hand-eye coordination translated well to stickhandling and shooting. In his first season, he was already dominating, putting up an impressive five goals per game. It didn’t take long before he caught the attention of local coaches who encouraged him to take his game to the next level. The following year, Acres made the jump to club hockey, a significant step up in competition. The travel demands were intense, especially considering he lived about 45 minutes outside of downtown Atlanta. His family had to make countless sacrifices, driving him to practices, games, and tournaments across the country. Despite the challenges, he thrived, showcasing his ability to score, create plays, and play a physical two-way game. His reputation grew, and soon enough, people around Georgia began to recognize him as one of the state’s top hockey prospects. Defensively, he wasn’t just solid—he was elite. His plus-minus rating was through the roof, and his physicality made him a force to be reckoned with. He wasn’t just scoring goals; he was delivering hits, blocking shots, and doing everything necessary to help his team win. His all-around game drew the attention of scouts and college recruiters, and by the time he finished high school, he had several options to continue his hockey career. When it came time to choose a college, Acres decided to attend Arizona State University, a rising program in the NCAA hockey world. While he wasn’t a superstar, he proved to be a reliable second-line winger, contributing consistently on offense while maintaining his strong defensive presence. Over the course of two seasons in Tempe, he tallied a combined 76 points, demonstrating his ability to produce at a high level. Despite not being a top prospect heading into the professional ranks, he knew he had what it took to succeed. His big break came when he attended a VHL prospect camp. Determined to prove himself, he played some of the best hockey of his life. Coaches and scouts were impressed by his work ethic, hockey IQ, and versatility. He wasn’t just an offensive player—he was a complete forward who could be trusted in any situation. His performance at the camp earned him an opportunity with the San Diego Marlins, where he signed to finish out the S96 season. The VHL draft was another crucial moment in his journey. Although he wasn’t selected in the early rounds, he didn’t let that discourage him. In the third round, the Chicago Phoenix took a chance on him, making him an official VHL prospect. But before making the jump to the big league, he needed to prove himself in the VHLM. Surprisingly, he went undrafted in the VHLM dispersal draft, but that only fueled his motivation. He signed with the Mississauga Hounds, where he quickly became a key player for the team. In his second season with the Hounds, Acres took on a leadership role, earning the title of alternate captain. His growth as a player was undeniable, and his journey from an unknown kid in Georgia to a rising star in the VHL was nothing short of inspiring. He continues to develop his game, and with his relentless determination and passion for the sport, his future in professional hockey looks incredibly promising. Avery Acres’ story is one of perseverance, hard work, and an unwavering love for hockey. From discovering the sport by accident to overcoming challenges and making a name for himself, he embodies the spirit of an underdog. His journey is far from over, but one thing is certain—he’s a player to watch, and his impact on the ice is only just beginning.
  15. Avery Acres scores 3 goals for his first career hat trick in a dominant 4-1 win over Ottawa. Acres now has 11 goals and 7 assists for 18 points in 18 games. The Hounds now improve to 9-7-2. The season has been a lot better for the Hounds who are exiting their short rebuild. After the huge Sidney Sheppard trade, the Hounds are looking to compete this year and they are getting hot. Jay Sikes, Remain Six Meters Back From Me, Acres, and Sheppard are all putting up high point numbers. Mississauga is not a team you would want to face in the playoffs if they play like they are right now. On the back side at defense, Captain Kurt Bachmann is getting a ton of hits. Goalie Yor Bjorven is looking like a potential star goalie for the Hounds next year who should return everyone except Bachmann and maybe Sheppard. The Hounds will face Mexico City and Philadelphia tomorrow.
  16. ACRES Mississauga Hounds Ranked 4th In VSN VHLM Season Preview
  17. 1. Im excited and I think we can compete this year. There isn't that one team in the M this year that looks so much better than others like last season. We can definitely compete. It will also be fun to try and keep putting on the "Battle For The Milk" rivalry. There is bad blood @sadie. I think this could be our year just because of all the teams trying get ready for S100. 2. We had a really good draft in my opinion. Getting a lot of good young guys in here to try and win a chip this year or next. 3. It makes me feel like our GM cares about us, which I already knew,, because he made so many moves for us to be set up for success. Sheppard @GoodLeftUndone was a great add and he we'll definitely be the leader of our offense. 4. The one that is quick but gives a lot of TPE. (For me, it changes time to time) 5. We got the worst player in hockey out of our city for Stankoven and picks. We also picked up Jankowski who scored twice in his Canes debut. 6. It depends on the score. If @Rin has a good game, I'm going straight to him. If it's like 4-3 or 5-4, I'm going to the goal scorer.
  18. Bjorven about to shut yall out every game
  19. With the offseason coming to a close, that means the VHLM draft comes. Mississauga GM @ace_five_ had spent so many hours recruiting The Milkman @THEMILKMAN. But with the 21st overall pick, Las Vegas GM @sadie took him causing a rift between the two squads. With the potential trade on the way to send him to Mississauga, Las Vegas can inflate the price for him. Mississauga RW Avery Acres @Bravebulldogs says, "Just a classless move and we will be marking each Vegas game on the calendar." This pick might be the start of a brand new rivalry. The "Battle For The Milk" rivalry could become one of the bests in all sports. Vegas GM Sadie struck back saying, "The Hounds' sorry excuse for a franchise didn't deserve a player like the Milkman. He'll be skating circles around you for seasons to come, just like everyone else does." With the tensions rising, we are for sure in for a spicy season! @EthanSea611 @Jaggerbomb88 @slothfacekilla @Jayrad28 @Tyler @jawaq @bigdolla @Bigb33 @Big_Dyl @James Harle @CSquires @Gordie Howl @JaySmacksss @Viper @Spade18 @GoodLeftUndone @Blutch @Jett88 @Gaming Ringleader @PacifistKit17 @Rin
  20. Canada was soooooo close :(! Thanks @Pifferfishfor helping me get started with AGMing! Was awesome!
  21. Week Ending March 2 1. I think we will bring back a good group especially with Bachmann coming back. 2. The first user I interacted was @Mysterious_Fish when I joined the Marlins my first year. 3. I am really confident is @ace_five_ to do his job well. If he needs any help, I'm sure the team can help as well. 4. I'm happy with my player and how he progressed in my first full season. 5. We don't talk about the 4 nations. I watched every game other than the two Saturday games. 6. Seth Jarvis would be such a fun room mate. Any other answer is wrong. Haha.
  22. Avery Acres Scouting Report: Avery Acres is an intriguing prospect for Chicago, bringing a mix of size, physicality, and offensive potential to the table. His development in the VHLM over two seasons shows promising growth, and his unique skill set makes him a prospect worth watching. Key Attributes Position: Right Wing (RW) Height: 6'4" Weight: 215 lbs Current Team: Mississauga Hounds (VHLM) Drafted By: Chicago, 3rd Round, 40th overall (S97) Performance Overview First VHLM Season (San Diego Marlins): Played 20 games with 1 goal and 1 point overall. Managed 9 shots and delivered 15 hits, showing early flashes of physicality. Second VHLM Season (Mississauga Hounds): Played all 72 games for a struggling Hounds team. Tallied 8 goals and 15 assists for 23 points, marking a significant offensive improvement. Took 130 shots on goal, further showcasing his shooting potential. Stood out with 125 hits, underscoring his physical dominance. Accumulated 90 penalty minutes, including three game misconducts, which highlighted both his intensity and the need for more disciplined play. Despite playing on a last-place team, Acres demonstrated growth, particularly in offensive production and his physical style of play, which could translate well to higher levels. Pros Shooting Power: Acres has a strong, powerful shot that can be a big advantage if honed. His ability to generate shots consistently suggests untapped offensive potential. Physical Play: With 125 hits last season, Acres thrives in the physical aspects of hockey. Whether delivering bone-crunching hits or engaging in fights, he plays with an edge that could make him valuable as an enforcer or power forward. Development Opportunity: Playing significant minutes on a rebuilding team like Mississauga allows Acres to develop in-game experience and refine his skills. Cons Discipline Issues: While his physicality is a strength, his 90 penalty minutes are a red flag. Acres will need to balance his aggressive style with smarter play to avoid costly penalties. Limited Defensive Impact: He doesn’t block many shots, which could be a drawback for teams seeking a more complete two-way player. Outlook Avery Acres, selected 40th overall in the S97 draft, has the potential to be a major steal for Chicago. His size, grit, and powerful shot are appealing traits that could make him a valuable asset. If he works on his discipline and rounds out his defensive contributions, Acres could develop into an impactful player at the VHL level. (415 Words)
  23. 1. We can help them out by making our special teams better. We are starting to heat up on even strength but our PP is mid at best right now and our penalty kill is awful. 2. It makes me feel a little bummed but I know that we probably aren't going to win the chip and we should get assets for a player that is not far off from going to the VHL. 3. I think we might squeeze into a playoff spot but this season was meant for a rebuilding year. 4. In my opinion it's defense. Good defense can provide breakaways for us. But if we push too heavily on offense, it might lead to multiple tough situations for our goalies and defenseman. 5. DF is really important but so are many other skills. The great players are great at multiple skills. 6. No
