Sixersfan594 247
Jivere Zolnek Ready For Next Season I know I am a star, and I was passed upon 15 times and I will never forget that. I know that there were countless prospects better than myself however I found it hard to believe that I almost fell into the second round. While I am extremely happy to be a part of the Vancouver Wolves organization, I am even happier to have this chip on my shoulder and the extra motivation from the draft will continue to drive me throughout my career. My first season was definitely difficult. I would incur a similar path to which I had in the VHLm for the Philadelphia Reapers. I struggled to make any sort of positive impact on a day to day basis and my playing time was similar to what I had the previous year. This will be the first time in a while where I will be playing on the same team two years in a row and I look forward to it knowing that my role will finally expand from where it was. Next year I assume that I will be projected to incur a significant amount of playing time compared ot this year. As a young prospect it is extremely important to be on the ice as much as possible in order to get experience playing in games. As someone who has typically struggled in practices, I hope to become a regular member of the "hat trick club" during our scrimmages and hope to finally display my elite scoring ability. While I can continue to daydream of these accomplishments, I understand the work that I have to undergo in order to make these dreams a reality. There has yet to been a single practice where I did not feel out of place at some point, and next year I want to make a habit of dominating. I have spent countless hours in the gym attempting to get stronger and faster in order to create space for myself. I remember my pre-draft interviews where various General Managers asked me about my work ethic but never observed it. This leads me to my next point, what will I do if I cannot find all this success next season? I will continue to work my ass off in order to get those results at some point. While it would be great to accomplish a near point per game pace in the regular season, I understand that it is likely that will struggle similar to my first VHL season. Despite me knowing this, I prefer optimism and hope to become a center piece for the Vancouver Wolves sooner rather than later. I know my work is being noticed -- which provides even more motivation to hopefully turn my work ethic into on ice production. I talk with my General Manager enough to know that I am doing the right things and the results will eventually follow. Hopefully this next season is my breakout year -- and if it is not, then the next season following that will be the breakout year. I know that I will make the countless General Managers regret their decision of passing over me and sending me to one of the best organizations in the league.
