Brendans thoughts from draft day

Draft day in the VHL was as full of excitement, twists, and spins as any other draft day. The first round took a storyline twist early on. When 4 picks had been made, Brendan and Asher were still on the board. “I think the New York pick through everyone off a bit. I was thinking in my head wait a sec, could I drop as low as 7-8 pick?” Said Brendan. And he was probably just as equally to hear his name called immediately after at 5th overall to the Malmo Nighthawks. “I was very excited to be drafted by a rebuild operation that has a ton of potential going forward.” Brendan commented. Asher went right after at 6th overall, but I think it shows just how tight this draft really was. And you know that Toronto was probably licking their lips when they saw Asher still available. A congrats is due for all the draftees of both drafts this weekend!
