ESPN.SE - The dust has settled after a busy draft night, and the VHL is getting ready to burst forward with it's 77th season. For the Malmo Nighthawks, that means welcoming a brand new GM to the front office for the first time since Season 71. Christopher James was hired to replace the retiring John Frostbeard, who stepped down after 6 incredible season at the helm. After a marvelous run in Season 75 resulted in the Nighthawks winning the Continental Cup, Malmo struggled heavily the following season and has entered a full rebuild. However, with multiple selections in the first two rounds of the draft, things are shaping up nicely for the new GM, and he had this to say, "I think we had a great draft and I'm very excited for the future in Malmo. We also have some veteran talent in the Locker Room that will be able to help our prospects make a seamless transition to the VHL." Only time will tell how things will eventually shape up for Malmo in the grand scheme of things, but they certainly have a great blueprint to build off of. We can expect them to be a bottom feeder in the immediate future, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
