Deathwalker: Nighthawker Blog #2

My Season So Far

 

This is my second blog post - just a quick hit for all you Nighthawk fans out there. Wanted to give you some thoughts on my season thus far, 29 games in.

 

I got my first goal! Took a while but it finally came. Since then I’ve potted a couple more including a power play goal a few games back. I have four points which I’m not happy with. I want to be helping the team out a lot more than that. It’ll come, I just have to keep playing and learning and shooting – which I’m not doing much of either.

 

I also had my first fight! It was a slugfest against that rascal Christian Mingle. He got the better of me but I’ll give him a rematch anytime he wants it.

 

I’m fairly happy with my defensive play. I think I’m holding up my own, back checking, reading the opponents’ play, hustling back. I can always be better, but I haven’t hurt the team.

 

My favorite part of the game is the hits – aye, how I do love to hit. I’m third on the team with 91 hits – tied for 24^th in the league. My name is getting out there. Teams are watching for me now, I can see it in their eyes.
