One week ago, the Miami Marauders sat fifth in the Eastern Conference, very much on the outside of the playoff picture.

However, a remarkable run of form has seen the Florida-based club grab a firm hold of second spot in their division, and the team looks to be a tough proposition for the whole VHLM at the present time.

Since dropping a 2-1 contest to the Minnesota Storm in game 118 of the VHLM season, the Marauders have gone on a 15-1-1 run, falling only to the Mississauga Hounds in overtime, and the Saskatoon Wild in regulation.

Several of the Marauders leading players, including Alexander the Great @Shiny, Noah Mashford @Mashy, Napoleon Bonaparte @CptSquall, Trevor Wallace @LilHCorny and Jan Hlozek, have turned around their form and are willing the South Beach club to victory.

"I was standing here one week ago and complaining that we were outside the playoffs. Now look at us. I think the guys have truly bought in, and now we're seeing the benefits," Hlozek told reporters after Miami's 4-2 victory over the Yukon Rush.

The Czech defenseman, who is in likely his final season in the VHLM, also praised the performance of goaltender @ClapbombsRus over recent games.

"He's been incredible. He's given us a chance to win every night recently, and it's been a massive help," Hlozek said.

The Marauders face off against the Las Vegas Aces and the Minnesota Storm in their next two games.
