PadStack 48
Joakim Bruden earlier this week sent out a surprising statement to team and local media. Declining to appear for an interview, media agencies were handed a simple memo that read: I, Joakim Bruden would like to publicly announce my retirement from the VHL. Although I feel like I may be leaving some gas in the tank I want to be able to retire on my terms when I am ready, not when I am forced out. I would like to thank HC Davos for drafting me many seasons ago, and giving me a home to play for. I would like to give a special thank you to New York, who extended a hand to me last offseason when I found myself looking for a new home. Bruden played for one minor league team, the Ottawa Lynx where he played part of 3 seasons in a dominating fashion before spending most of his professional career with Davos where he posted middling numbers and never really found the switch to accelerate his career to the next stage.
