Newhook's plan for his final season

In an interview with VHL/M News, we learn Newhook has finalized his decision to retire during season 78. 

 

VHL/M: Hello Cole! How are you doing today?

N: Pretty good!

VHL/M: So since we last talked, have you finalized any decisions about retiring during S78? 

N: As a matter of fact, uh, yes I have. I believe I am going to formally announce my retirement around the trade deadline, and provide help to whoever we decide to take under our belt next. I've had a great time in the VHL, but I have encountered some injuries during the offseason, and during the past season, that were bad enough that i don't want to deal wit h it anymore.

VHL/M: Oh, we didn't expect that. Now, what are you're goals for this season?

N: well, I'd like to stay in the 45 point range, it would be great if i could be better, but I doubt this will be the year i set any personal records.

VHL/M: How do you feel about your career?

N: I think i was a solid, team player. I was never an awesome player compared to others in the league, but I'm proud!

VHL/M: What are your thoughts on the flood of Reinharts coming into the league?

N: It's crazy man. I dont know what was going on with that family, I actually dont know if they are family, but they are all ridiculously good.

VHL/M: Thanks for your thoughts!

N: No problem!
