#AsktheBouch: New season, new role and new expectations?

#AsktheBouch has returned for another season and I am not even sure where we actually left off last time since it has been a while but once again we are following Prague Phantoms player Robert Bouchard as the team once again marches towards the Play-offs in the VHL.

 

Here we are a few weeks into a new season and how would you sum up your overall feelings about the team so far this season?

RB: Why hello, long time no see!! Jump right into a tough question why don’t we? (Stated laughing).

 

Actually from a personal standpoint it has been a great start to the season with the team placing some faith in me finally as I have moved up the line-up into the second line center role meaning I am getting more then enough ice time and taking an important role within the team for the first time since being drafted by Prague. This as expected has seen me regain my VHLM form as I am being more consistent with the extra ice time and chances that we are able to generate.

 

You have had an impressive start with 10 goals and 14 helpers for 24 points so what has lead to the up turn in production?

RB: Simply put more ice times and really playing with better line mates; Playing with Danny and Dom creating the DDB line or is it the DBD line since they are on the wings. (laughs) Either way we have been really feeding off each other this season with Danny having 24pts and Dom being our weak sister at the moment at 20pts means we are really producing as line with 68 pts compared to the other top line of Landry II, Jimmy and Johny as they have only 64pts at the moment. This means the team is getting consistent production across both lines and it means we are seeing results in the way of wins.

 

What do you expect to see for the rest of the season?

RB: Well, from a personal standpoint I am hoping to stay consistent this season around a point per game. I would actually like more then that but a point per game would still be a good step from last season as it would be at least a 20pt increase in production. From at teams standpoint I hope that we stay in the top three this season in the conference so that we don’t have to play the wild card game again this season. I think we are better to make a run at the Championship this season so less game that we need to play the better it will be down the stretch.
