I settled on an idea and had to get nitty and gritty with making a face (which is so flipping hard to get sometimes). Through symbolism in the background and trying to nail a patriotic determined face, here's my first effort for the team in Paris.

Review time.
 

Loving the style and look!  The idea I had was more like the New York Americans guy for your rebrand logo.  Perhaps a mix of both those looks for the guy in the pic, I liked the hat style from the nya logo.  The colors here are on point, so yeah this is a closer fit.  Maybe a musket in place of a pike also..
