ThePerfectNut 563
My season 78th Calgary Wranglers player stats predictions The 78th Victory Seasons started like 4 weeks ago and the Calgary Wranglers have stacked up during the off-season getting the number 1 overall pick, but we did not start the season very hot. Afterward, the General Managers made some line changes and we have been a .500 team for a while and the team management thought it was time to make a big trade since the Patrik Tallinder trade. They traded for Tyler Walker (835 TPA) and he is becoming our best d-men on our team. He has been helping us offensively ever since he is on the team and the team has been winning .750 of the games that he's been playing (except the last 4 games that were all Ls). The youngins of the teams are still really doing well for the Wranglers this season and the veterans are finally clicking it together. The defense has been doing decent offensively this season, but they have been making some mistakes on defense these days. Askarov is allowing more goals than we are used to seeing him allow, but when he is facing almost 50 shots almost every game this season, he is bound to be fatigue. Luckily we got a backup we can count on in ClapbombsRUs this season. Is this the season where the Wranglers can finally go in a deep playoff run after 10 years? Only time will tell... Goalies: Vsevolod Askarov Season 77 stats: Games Played Wins Losses OTL SV% GAA SO 64 29 28 7 0.918 3.24 3 Predictions: Games Played Wins Losses OTL SV% GAA SO 64 32 25 7 0.920 3.10 7 Currently: Games Played Wins Losses OTL SV% GAA SO 44 22 18 4 0.914 3.42 3 Askarov has been struggling this season to keep the puck out of the net, but I believe that he can go on another hot streak after the trade deadline. He only has 4 wins more than Ls and a very high GAA of 3.42, but he has a 0.914%. In the VHL, having over a 0.915% is a respectable stat in the VHL and he is right under those numbers. Anyways, we all know Askarov is just being bored in the regular season because Calgary fans know that Vsevolod Playoff Askarov is the real deal. ClapbombsRUs Predictions: Games Played Wins Losses OTL SV% GAA SO 8 6 2 0 0.925 2.65 2 Currently: Games Played Wins Losses OTL SV% GAA SO 6 4 2 0 0.923 2.85 1 He is having a very good rookie season as a goalie. It's unfortunate that goalies have very low odds of becoming rookie of the years since the voters are only focused on points, points, goals, and points. I predicted 8 games, but he might have much more since he is having such a good year as a backup, but I do think that his SV%5 and GAA will end up being around there after this season. D-Core: Rolf Fizzlebeef Jr Season 77 stats: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 4 38 42 -5 103 141 Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 9 45 54 12 110 152 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 5 28 33 14 87 114 Rolf Fizzlebeef Jr is having another good season for the Calgary Wranglers. His defensive numbers are quite satisfying to watch, he's really a stay-at-home d-men and he is always make the good first pass in his defensive zone for those breakout passes. He is a +14 and already has 115 blocks in 50 games! Hopefully, he can keep it up and become a big factor in the playoff. Tom Eagles 77 Seasons Stats: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 13 47 60 -9 140 206 Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 15 42 57 13 152 174 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 8 30 38 13 127 103 Like I said before, Tom Eagles is going to be a great two-wat d-men in the Victory Hockey League. He will hit 10 goals, possible 50 assists, 60 points, double digits in +, 150 hits, and near 200 shots blocked. You can't ask for anything more from a d-men like him and he still has many many seasons to go! Cowboy Prout Season 77 Stats: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 15 45 60 16 140 181 Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 20 48 69 25 152 198 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 15 35 50 25 100 135 He has taken a big step offensively AGAIN. He has officially replaced the offensive talent that Kosmo Kramerev has left behind, but he has the better defensive number as well! He has established himself as one of the top 15 offensive d-men this season and we hope he can carry the backend for many years to come Tyler Walker Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 19 49 68 -12 210 145 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 13 29 42 -19 155 107 He got a horrible - because he came from Davos, but he has been a point per game for the Wranglers. He's probably only a one-year rental for the playoff, but we hope we can go all the way with this man. Markuss Puhovs Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 5 18 23 14 60 90 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 2 13 15 10 45 56 Markus is having a decent rookie season. He is not playing a lot, but he makes those minutes count so we don't feel scared when he's on the ice against other VHL vets. Joe Madison Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 6 19 25 6 5- 102 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 3 12 15 4 38 70 He's also having a decent season even tho with his limited amount of ice time. He tries to do everything, so he would need to learn to focus on fewer things once he takes a step forward in his career Forwards: Nils Tallinder, C Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 13 10 23 5 48 14 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 8 7 15 3 30 11 It might not be the stats he is hoping for, but I'm sure he will become a top scorer in the VHL in a couple of years. He always shows that he can score 10 goals in the third line so he might be a consistent 30 goal scorer in the future. Chris foley, C Season 77 Stats: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 5 12 17 -3 20 4 Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 3 4 7 6 26 6 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 1 2 3 8 17 3 He was a -18 last season, but now he is a +8. We don't see him on the ice that much, but he does not hurt the team when he is on which is good. His final season with the team? We shall wait and see. Mikey Harris, RW Season 77 Stats: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 24 21 45 4 14 21 Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 23 30 53 13 17 15 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 14 22 36 8 7 10 He is still very scared of laying the body, but he is becoming more and more comfortable in his top 6 roles. He might not gain a lot of recognition in the league, but the Calgary Wranglers fans know how much important he is on the team. Guy Lambert, C Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 14 20 34 6 64 11 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 9 12 21 4 41 7 Guy Lambert is having a nice rookie season for the Wranglers on the third line. He already has 20 points in 50 games, but it looks like he does not like to block shots. He will eventually become a great player to have on any top 6 teams Steve Eso, C Season 77 Stats: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 25 32 57 0 81 36 Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 24 42 66 20 47 39 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 16 31 47 18 29 25 He is a very very good number 2 center on any given team. He has proven to be a skillful playmaker and he is very reliable on defense. He plays good with whoever is on his line. He might be underrated for the rest of his career, but he's the kind of dude you need in your championship team. Phil The Rock Johnson Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 12 39 51 22 235 19 Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 7 26 33 19 173 10 Phil is our best defensive forward on the team that can lay the body as well. He may not score a lot, but his playmaking is insane. He might be the most bizarre player that I have seen so far and it looks like it's working pretty well currently. Nathan Perry, RW Season 77 Stats: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 31 41 72 12 145 15 Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 37 46 83 5 98 40 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 29 37 66 10 62 23 One aspect of his game that is vastly improved on is for sure his shot-blocking He's already at 23 blocks after 50 games! He also scores a crap ton and has been the most consistent forward on our team for a while now. He might hit 100 points in a season one day if he had more ice time possibly. Andrew Su, C Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 39 45 84 14 14 43 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 29 37 66 11 6 27 He is slowing down compared to last season, but he is still doing quite amazing! Besides hitting, all his stats are what centers in the VHL would love to have. He might hit 40 goals this season and almost 45 blocked shots. Thanks to him, he for sure improved the Wranglers' odds of making it in the playoff and he is truly a game-changer to any team. Luke Thornton Predictions: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 50 40 86 23 258 26 Currently: Goals Assists Points +/- Hits Shots Blocked 32 33 65 20 188 17 Luke Thornton is finally having a breakout year and he is in contention for the top goal scorer of the league. It will probably be his only chance to win this award. The last 2 years of struggle and pain would be worth it if he somehow hit 50 goals, but this depends on the lines he is playing with. His hitting and blocking shots to a big dip in his stats, but he has taken a big step tremendously defensively since he is currently a +20/ He was a -23 the last two seasons so being a +20 feels refreshing for him. Is this finally his year? Still, 23 more games to go! So yeah, the Calgary Wranglers got a lot of good scoring options, some defensive depth, and a good goalie rotation. I would be shocked if they don't make the playoff (I would honestly leave if that somehow happens lmao), The question is once we make the playoff? The Wranglers always struggled to win more than 1 series. Are they going to figure it out this time around or will they choke once again? With Thornton, Perry, and Su scoring abilities, Tyler Walker's presence on defense, and Vsevolod Playoff Askarov. I do indeed have some expectations for this playoff run. Thornton is one of the only ones in the top forwards without a cup in the S74 draft class so this might be his only chance to tie with these guys. 2000 words!
