The Seabasstard bumped up to the 2nd line.

The Moscow Menace's 3rd overall pick from S78, The Seabasstard hasn't had the best of seasons. He has only posted 14 points in 53 games and currently is tied with Kyle Glass for a team worst -15 in the plus/minus department.

 

However, the Menace's coach still seems to trust the player in penalty killing situations despite his questionable defensive plays at times and have used him on the PK for over 200 minutes so far this season. In fact 25% of The Seabasstard's total ice time has been on the PK.

 

Overall The Seabasstard seems to be a frustrated player that severely lacks confidence in his game. He just keeps losing 1 on 1 puck battles and has been mainly been playing mostly perimeter hockey in the offensive zone. 

 

Yesterday the Menace have announced that The Seabasstard will have a opportunity to play in the team's top 6 after spending most of the season centering the team's third line. This is a clear attempt by the coach to hopefully get the rookie going offensively. We caught up with The Seabasstard to hear out his opinion on the lineup change.

 

" Well first off, I'm honored to have the opportunity to play more minutes, but I don't feel like I deserved this promotion. I've been shit and I hope I won't just blow my opportunity here. I'm a little nervous I wont lie but I'm excited to play with some of our teams more experienced players though, and I hope to be able to pick some tips and tricks from them during this opportunity."

 

The Menace are set the face the Toronto Legion and then the Helsinki Titans with their new changes. Hopefully they can get some wins as they playoffs chances look pretty slim.

Through 65 games - 25 points
