looking at how many M teams made it to 100 points VHLM S70-S78

Recommended Posts

I wanted to do this before the M playoffs started but alas I got busy yesterday. Four teams hitting 100 points in the M feels pretty remarkable so I thought I'd do a quick look back from S78 to S70 to see if it is special or just around normal.

S70:             S71:             S72:             S73:             S74:             S75:             S76:             S77:             S78:

Storm-125         Lynx-119           Storm-122        Marauders-114  21st-129           Kings-113          Bulls-123           Hounds-124      Rush-118

Marlins-120      Rush-109           Wild-114           Bulls-111             Aces-109         Reapers-106     Storm-108         Wild-103            21st-113

Lynx-117           Storm-108         Reapers-111     Storm-106          Rush-107          Marlins-104      Kings-106          Marauders-101  Storm-111

Bulls-107          Reapers-105                               Lynx-106            Hounds-107                                                                                      Marlins-103

Reapers-101                                                         Marlins-104

So looking at it now ya four teams is pretty average if not slightly above average, the three previous season only saw three teams hit the 100 point barrier so four team doing it is a change up. Still you have two seasons that saw 5 teams make it, three seasons that saw 4 teams make it and four seasons that saw 3 team make it. I will note in S72 the Kings and Aces were at 99 and 98 points respectively. You know what this has got me thinking though? When the S70's are over I should a "who was the best?' series, for the teams I mean. I could do both the VHL and VHLM, I could do a point system that ranks them based off where they finished in the regular season and how far of a playoff run they had. Something I'll figure out later as we still have S79 to get through. Ciao for now.....
