Dear: "We'll... find a way through this series, one game at a time."

Warsaw, Poland - After a full regulation and two overtimes, the Warsaw Predators found themselves at a loss, literally. Malmo's Tui Sova -- assisted by Muffbeav, the former Predators defenseman-turned-forward who joined Malmo this offseason -- knocked the puck in just over eight minutes into the period to hand a 1-0 series lead to the Nighthawks.

"It's frustrating to face Malmo," Warsaw forward Aloe Dear commented in the post-game presser, "we were 1-4 against them in the regular season in spite of a clean 12-point margin of victory for first in the conference. They squeaked into the playoffs with a tiebreaker over Riga and had just 6 more goals than their opponents all season; ours was +55. I don't know what it is about them. We'll shoot twice as many shots as them, all quality, and we'll take the loss. You tell me what's up - I couldn't figure it out through five regular season games, clearly."

"Crazily enough, we have a significantly better goal differential against Chicago than Malmo, and Chicago had a fantastic showing in the regular season. But we'll make our adjustments and find a way through this series, one game at a time."

The Predators proceeded to win game 2, 6-3. But with just one win apiece, both Malmo and Warsaw have quite some ways to go before moving past this best of 7.
