“It was good to get a taste of playoff action in the first round of the VHLM playoffs against Mexico City.  They played us tough during the regular season and we knew we were going to be in for a battle once the series started.  We held home ice through the first two games and then they won game 3 on the road, but in Game 4, it was a must win for them, but also for us since we wanted that 3^rd win of the series and put all the pressure on them and we did and then won game 5 at home.”

 

“Then we drop the first two games of the next series at home to San Diego which was a great wake up call for the team.  We had to win both games on the road in games 3 and 4 and we did.  Now we are looking at a best of 3 with us having 2 of those 3 at home even though we lost 2 already there against them.  First period of Game 5 was tied 2-2 at the end but we played our best hockey of the season in periods 2 and 3 and won the game 5 to 2.  We have the momentum in the series and have to win game 6 because we do not want to give them any life and go to a game 7.”
