I haven't really put out any sort of media in a few weeks and I'm getting dangerously close to the point where I lose any and all motivation to put out content. Felt like writing something despite having a blank mind just to try and get back into the habit of posting updates of some sort, even if updates weren't requested.

Moscow had a nice season, taking a few steps forward in some areas, a few steps back in others. 8 players had 55 points or more this season, flashing the potential the team has to provide scoring from all areas - offense, defense, special teams. Granted, almost everyone who put up 50+ points except for Hard Markinson were Y2+, and the other rookies/sophomores were mostly all able to put up 25+ points. This offseason will be particularly interesting since Moscow feels at a crossroads, where Atreides and Idaho are on their final seasons of their ELC's - which provides a bit of a cap benefit in terms of salary structure. The forward core has developed nicely, but seeks consistency. Defense group is young but has potential, so a big addition could take the group to the next level.

Letang finished up his time on DC and is now heading into FA to try and make a championship run or stat pad for a season before being put to rest. He consistently underwhelmed for the past couple seasons, supposedly showing his inability to be a true "star" player to carry a team. Disappointing, but such is life in the VHL - everyone can't be a star! We'll see how his final season plays out though, as I should be able to fight regression nicely with a Jagr and a fighter, and then will be able to earn 80-100 more TPE by the TDL - so hopefully peak Letang is coming in Y8.

Short, sweet thoughts. Maybe that'll be the title for my VHL.com series that half the VHL GM's seem to be doing nowadays. I think it's a great model that allows for GM's to provide quick thoughts and updates about their team without spending that much time on it. Reminds me of the idea someone had a few seasons ago of requiring some sort of GM media about their team as their activity check. While it was shot down very quickly, I think that GM's should try to adopt this sort of thing a bit more, as it's a nice way to engage with the community.

Anyways, thanks for reading my borderline media spot article. Let me know if there's anything in specific you'd like me to cover in the future :P
