Welcome to today's interview! This past week I sat down with members of the Calgary wranglers to get their thoughts on this past season and on the future of the team. The people interviewed today were Manager Ricer and players Perry, Eagles and Tallinder. This will be part one of multiple to go through the interviews I had with each one of these people! Let's get right into the questions.

Question number 1: How do you feel your team performed last season?

This question had a very common theme with the answer. All four people interviewed said very similar things. “Overall we I’d say we performed well and met our expectations as a group.’ said Perry. He went on to say “We wanted to take the next step and making the playoffs and going 7 games with the defending champs was huge for our entire group.” Gm Ricer had this to say about his team this past season “I am really happy with how our season went. We solidified 3rd in our conference and made the defending champs work for a series win against us.”. Eagles and Tallinder said very similar things. All four members seem to agree that it was a good season for the team and that even though Calgary would lose in the first round it was still a big step forward for the team as a whole.

Let's move on to Question two. Question two was this: Is there anything in particular that you feel contributed to the success/failures that occurred last season?

“I think our depth underperformed, myself included, especially during the playoffs..” was said by Tallinder as a contributor to how much success we had last season. Putting some blame on himself with more depth players not having as much as an impact leading to maybe the team not doing quite as well as they could have done if depth players had contributed more.

Ricer said that “our team was in a weird position of being on the edge of a competitive and developing team.”. Which makes a lot of sense. Calgary had some veterans but also quite a few new guys who are still finding their way in the league.

For a reason as to why the team did well Perry had this to say: “Ricer continues to provide his players and his fans with proactive moves to be able to compete when our core is at its best while also having young up and coming stars right behind that said core.” Giving credit where i think most people agree credit is due to Calgary's gm who has worked on building this team to a good position. When eagles was asked this question he responded: “Everyone was earning TPE and everyone was genuinely excited to see the team perform well and push for the playoffs.”

Thank you for joining me in part1 of the Calgary Wranglers interview! Come back next week for part two to read more from Calgary’s gm and some of their players to see what else they have to say.

Review:

Great article! It's always interesting to see what the GM and players think of the team. Even though everyone was asked separately it seems like everyone is on the same page which is always a good sign for a team. The only things I would improve is maybe add a picture. Also since I run in night mode, it was very hard to read with the black text. 9/10
