For Season 79, the captains that have been chosen are active members of the Ottawa Lynx and ones that will no doubt continue to be great members of the VHL community. Please welcome your S79 Lynx Captain and Alternates! C - #20 Ben Aky, D @benaky Aky was drafted before S78 by the Lynx. Since then, he has proved to be a reliable defender for the team, logging big minutes each night. In addition, Aky is a great locker room leader, lifting the team up in key moments. Congrats on the "C" Ben! A - #65 Armani Calamari, C @WildfireMicro Calamari was recently drafted by Ottawa after playing in Philadelphia as a rookie. Despite being new to the team, Calamari has made an immediate impact in the locker room and continues to improve as a player each day. A - #31 Alex Parise, G @Joker_TM Parise was drafted this season as well by the Lynx as the team's projected starter. Parise has been a great presence in the locker room too and should only get better as the season goes on. We are confident in this group of players to lead our team this season. While these players will have letters stitched onto their jerseys, we are sure there will be others that will be terrific leaders also. Congrats to the captains and #GOLYNXGO!
