MetalToday 266
This past season was a crazy season in the minors, teams taking control, other teams taking a last minute leap into the playoffs, it was quite an interesting year. However, this is not the reason I am writing this article, I am writing this to shed light on each team's top scorers from this past season. Halifax 21st had some amazing players with two forwards Zach Kisslinger II and Bryn Yrwy having 139 and 138 points respectively, and Yrwy with the most goals on the team and most goals in the league at 62. The Houston Bulls were looking to make a splash in the upcoming draft, with two forwards Donny Carter at 33 points and Luke Lily with 28 points and Lily with the most goals at 16 goals on the team. Los Vegas Aces had good depth this past season with a tie between Zdeno Chara and Pistol Pete point totals at 111. The most goals on this team is held by Pete with 41 goals. Quite good for a defensive pair, especially since they are tied for first for defensive points! Mexico City Kings is the next team to look at with Deke Rike and Luke Pastrnak as the #1 and #2 top point guys with 106 and 101 points respectively. Mexico has a great sniper for the first line forwards and his name is Sunrise van de Schubbekuteveen, he has 50 goals on the season. They were an amazing top forward line for the Kings. Miami Marauders has a long list of players to have played for them, and the top guys are right winger Mikey Markov with 118 points and defence Hari Singh Nalwa with 102 points, Markov with a 52 goal season. Minnesota Storm has a decent forward first line with Logain Ablar 76 points, Finn Davis 75 points, Nayt Bedard 73 points and Ablar with 40 goals in this past season. Mississauga Hounds had a great #1 and #2 centers with Nathaniel Minion and Nathaniel Minion they had 114 and 112 points respectively. Numminen had 46 goals to be the top goal scorer on the team. Ottawa Lynx made a lot of transactions and with that the top guys were defence Ben Aky with 69 points and 28 goals to be the top guy in both categories on this team, and a special mention to right wing Zen Raider with 48 points. Philadelphia Reapers had a great first line for forwards with Darth Kaprizov with 117 points, Gregory Bates with 110 points and Miroslav Tsarov with 100 points and 51 goals. San Diego Marlins, my team this past season, there were a few good forward players on the team however the top guys were Alexander Rivers at 85 points and 41 goals to be the top guy, and Pippo Coca with 78 points. Saskatoon Wild had a great team themselves with a player leading the league in points and that is Duncan Montana with 149 points and 61 goals on the team, other great players to note were Kyle Peace with 129 points and Dekster Jankowski with 109 points. Probably one of the best first line forwards in the league this past season. The Yukon Rush had a lot of new players this past season with Kyosti Karjalainen and Norris Sirois being the Rush's best two forwards with 72 and 68 points respectively. Karjalainen is a 37 goal scorer this past season being the top player for the Rush. That would be the end of this list, it will be interesting to see where these players will go in the future, lots of respect to all of these top players on every team, and and all of the supporting players, I think there will be a lot of good players in the upcoming VHL draft and I’m excited to see what happens!
