A nice improvement for Duncan Idaho

While the VHL exploded in terms of scoring, Duncan Idaho wasn’t able to keep up with the big dogs. But nonetheless, Idaho did see some improvement in his numbers this season.

Compared to his sophomore year, where he collapsed at the later half of the season, this time he managed to finally get to his point per game mark. He scored 84 points, which is an improvement of 26 points. He spread this pretty evenly, as he scored 11 more goals and landed 15 more assists. His plus minus rating also improved, from a +2 to a +12. The statistic that has the biggest bump in numbers are his shots. Despite adding some skills to passing, he shot a grand total of 453 times. Despite the big rise, this wasn’t good enough for a top 10 position in the league.  Much to Spartans dislike, he also saw his penalty minutes rise to a 185, which is the 8th highest in the league. Hits wise, he beat notorious hitter Druss Deathwalker and landed a total of 329 hits, an improvement of 34 hits. Shots blocked he remained the same, as he did with the game winning goals. The only stat that declined were his power play goals, so all in all, a nice improving season for Idaho. While he won't win the Boulet with this yet, he shows he has it in him to compete for it once his opponents regress.
