OSLO, NORWAY - A mere 24 games into his rookie season, Russian defender Vladimir Komarov is already making a name for himself around both the VHLM and VHL.

After entering the VHLM immediately after his exit from the Russian junior league, Vladimir Komarov was picked up by the Oslo Storm in the second round, which was a steal for Oslo, of the Season 39 VHLM Dispersal Draft. In that short time, Komarov has put up some fairly impressive numbers. Through 24 games, the rookie defenseman has put up 6 goals and 17 assists for a total of 23 points. More impressively, he has put recorded 45 blocked shots and 90 hits already this season. Komarov was also named Captain of the Storm, for the initiative and promise he has shown already.

Komarov has impressed people around the league not only for his fantastic play, but also for his almost immediate involvement in other parts of the league. Already, 24 games into his promising career, Komarov has participated in many meetings and discussions with league officials regarding the future of the league.

If he keeps on the track he is on, Vlad Komarov is going to have an extremely promising career ahead of him in the VHL.
