His Time In The VHLM

Well as Season 79 for the VHLM comes to an end we’re taking this week to talk about a fan favourite in the Ottawa Lynx locker room #31 Alex Parise. He came to the lynx in the VHLM draft and stood in the goal for a whooping 71 games last season ending the season with a record of 23 - 43 - 5 with a 0.886 save percentage and a 3.81 goals against, he also made true to his promise at the beginning of the season and recorded 2 shutouts beating his first season in the VHLM by 1 shutout.

Alex might be a newcomer in the VHL ranks but he has proved he has the resolve and want to make it to the top league of the VHL. After just two short seasons in the VHLM, Mr. Parise will be leaving the VHLM to join one of the new VHLE Franchises which im sure there has been speculation on some fighting amongst the VHLE Gm’s on which franchise he will end up signing with in the offseason. I'm sure whichever team acquires this young goaltending star will be extremely happy with the acquisition.

As we look back at this young talent's two seasons in the VHLM we’ll look at his rookie season with the Minnesota Storm. Alex was a late season addition to the Storm roster, joining a experienced roster and back end with dexter vaughn as his VHLM mentor. He had an eye opener of a season and proved that his move from the WHL to the VHLM was a great call by the youngster. After joining late in the season with the few starts he received he made an impact on the team and in the league boasting a record of 6 - 1 - 1 with a 0.883 save percentage and a 3.76 goals against. He also tallied one shutout in his rookie season, this put him on the map with quite a few teams coming up to the VHLM dispersion draft and the VHL entry draft.

Following His rookie season in the VHLM with the Minnesota Storm, Alex entered the offseason with high hopes for the VHLM dispersal draft and the VHL entry draft. At the VHLM Draft you could almost feel the anticipation in the air waiting for his name to be called, low and behold it would be the Ottawa Lynx to call his name and Alex was ecstatic to join his new VHLM team. Fast forward a couple of days and it was off to the VHL entry draft for the young star. You could see the excitement in his face as he walked into the arena for the entry draft and with the 21st pick of the draft the CAlgary Wranglers called Alex’s name and welcomed him to their organization.

As his time in the VHLM comes to and end and this young star moves forward to the VHLE we are all excited to see what team he will sign with and we all cant wait to see what he will do in his career as it looks oh so very bright. For another week signing off at The OG Sports Center see you next week.

9/10

Easy and interesting read, like the simplicity of the article, short and sweet, article flows well and it keeps you interested. I like that you added the stats, for improvments, maybe a picture or something to make it stand out a little more, good luck on your career!
