Due to unfortunate circumstances Weenuk Warrior will be unavailable to play during the season 80 of the VHLM. Weenuks Grandfather was fell ill before the draft began so he didn't join in on the draft day. It didn't stop teams such as Ottawa lynx, Yukon Rush, Houston Bulls and many more. '' Missing out on the draft honestly sucked, i was looking forward to see where i may have been playing in, but after the draft teams still offered me a contract to play for them during the season." Unfortunately for Warrior in the middle of deciding which team to play for his grandmother fell ill and the reports from the hospital weren't very good. " Both of my grandparents aren't in great conditon and with recent events with grams i've made the decision to skip out on this season to be with them. The situation doesn't look good and like to spend what time here with them that we have left. They've been in my life from the moment I was born and were my biggest fans from the moment I stepped on the ice. They were always there to help me and now ill be there to repay what they gave me." Weenuks step brother Riley knight Gee has retired from the VHL last season and will be available to help train Weenuk till the next season. " I'm not giving up the hope of making the VHL and have no intentions to stop training while my grandparents are sick.
