Will3 467
While ago, I create a theoretical league in Asia. Many team names have been suggested, not only by me but by others as well. Let us critically analyze these these teams. We will start in would be the VHLW's North Conference with the teams that would be in Japn.. I will also be lookin at some real life teams. With that lets begin. Tokyo, Japan is the the biggest, most complex city in the region. To fit such complexity, two different names have been suggested. The Toko Terrors was my suggestion for a team name. This team name reference one of Japan's greatest exports, Kaiju films. Monster films with characters such as Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan. Gamma and King Ghidorah have continually been produced since the 1950's. Godzilla himself is a pop culture icon, recognized by many who have never seen a Kaiju film before. This team name references all Kaiju and the terror these massive creatures inflict on citizen. I imagine the colors would be would be primarily dark green with red and yellow highlights. Morcar80's idea was to call the team the Tokyo Drifters. Because nothing is stronger that family. All memes aside, this is actually a pretty good name. Not only is it a good film reference, but it also honors an approximately 18.2 trillion yen industry. Also the art of drifting a car was created by Kunimitsu Takahashi in the 1970's. Mitsubishi red maybe best, but virtually any color could work on a team with such a automotive name. Sapporo, Japan is another quality hockey market. The capital of the cold Sinno, i mean Hokkaido region, Sapporo is the winter sports capital of Japan. It also hosted the 1972 Winter Olympics and is currently bidding for the 2030 Winter Olympics. Currently Hokkaido has two hockey teams in Asian League Ice Hockey (ALIH). There are Red Eagles Hokkaido and the East Hokkaido Cranes. The Sapporo Samurai, another quality suggestion by Morcar80, continues the legacy of not only of hocky but also some of the most important people in history. The samurai were the military officers of feudal Japan. They even ruled Japan from around to around 1183 to 1333 AD. As Japan's army modernized in the 1800's the samurai were cast aside. Yet their memory live on, inspiring much of the popular culture we know today. it is a near perfect team name. Red White and yellow would be a good color combination for this team. That is all the time we have for today. I hope you were able to learn something interesting from the first part of this ongoing series. Thank again to Morcar80 his wonderful suggestions. Next week, I will be analyzing names for teams that are in South Korea. I will see you then. diacope and Matt thunder 1 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/109180-analysis-of-vhlw-north-team-names-part-1-japan/ Share on other sites

Matt thunder 444
Review: I really like this format that you created and for me you should really continue to work on it, you are really a good writer. The only thing wrong that I see is the font in the second half of the text, but that is just nitpicking. In the end thia gets a solid 8 out of 10, keep it up, I really want to know the next city.
