Bojovnik 487
The Riga Reign lost 4-0 to the Helsinki Titans on Thursday evening in what was another torrid showing for the Latvian club. Despite having one of the most promising rosters in the VHL, the Reign are once again flattering to deceive. The Baltic nation’s team currently sits in sixth place in the European Conference, and defenceman Jan Hlozek expressed his frustration following the loss to Riga’s Finnish rivals. “It’s frankly ridiculous. A team with as much skill and talent as we have should not be sitting outside of the playoffs,” Hlozek said. The Reign missed the playoffs in Hlozek’s rookie season, and were unceremoniously dumped out of the playoffs in the first round against the Warsaw Predators last season. It looks to be yet another season in which the Riga Reign are not contenders for the Continental Cup, and Hlozek said that his patience was staring to run dry. “I don’t know why we can’t put together consistent performances. I don’t know why we have such a good roster on paper, and a good roster in training, but when it comes to the games, we play like we don’t have a clue what we’re doing. I’ve had just about enough of it,” the defenceman remarked. Spartan 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/109802-hlozek-unhappy-with-riga-form/ Share on other sites
