It's theme week..... rather the end of theme week. Funny enough this was something I had thought about doing before with Jaxx Hextall who, if you don't know, is my only other player, retired from the VHL of course. Anyway we'll get started with this little catch up on the former net minder for the Toronto Legion.

Jaxx Hextall has been enjoying his life living in California, when did he move to California you might be asking? Well he is fulfilling a childhood dream playing for the San Jose Sharks. He's in his third season now with the team and has kept his consistency, .913 save percentage in his first season and .915 in his second and he's looking to do even better this season. He's made new friends of course and is very active within the community of San Jose. He likes to visit San Diego and San Francisco pretty often to, giving more fans a chance to hang out with him, he even takes some time out of his day to visit hockey for kids programs. He owns a two story house with a huge pool and has gorgeous view, he owns a massive TV for his gaming needs and owns 13 vehicles, most of them of the Lamborghini brand.

Outside of hockey and video games, cooking has become a passion for him, his enjoy of watching cooking shows since he was a kid has made him start cooking himself. He's quite the cook and not only that but baker as well. He loves to bake cakes and cupcakes among others as well. He's cooked meals for his teammates and former teammates as well. Close friends Jimmy Spyro and Jacques Lafontaine have had get together's to talk about their time in the VHL and what they've been up to currently. Jaxx always invites them over but they usually meet up at different places. Arcades, movie theaters, water parks, you think of it, they've done it.

We talked to Hextall about after hockey in general, if he has something planned for after the NHL. He told us that he feels great and his drive and passion for the sport may keep him playing into his 40's. But after his goalie career he wouldn't stop with hockey related work. He doesn't rule out coaching work, becoming a general manger or even being an agent for a player or players. He said coaching would likely be his next step after and then becoming a general manger or assistant general manger. Having the knowledge of understand the game at the player level, coach level and GM level is very important to him. "I'll probably keep working in hockey until I'm in my 90's" He told us and laughing afterward.

Overall it sounds like he's living life to his fullest, having multiple hobbies and keeping up with his friends, and always exploring new places. His passion for hockey is still as strong as it was when joined the VHL back in season 69.

(word count 500, yes exactly 500 lol, and that doesn't include this)

REVIEW

Solid article right on topic for the theme week. The flow in this article is all over the place. Some sentences run on and on and on, while at certain points you hit us with a series of sentences that barely get going anywhere. While I enjoyed the article your flow is definitely something you can pay attention to in the future. Keep up the good work!
