N0HBDY 1,119
Unlike his brothers who had taken a liking to more recent hockey figures in Greece, Cole was a bit different when it came to taste in hockey. Cole loved to read book on the subject of hockey, and especially books that combined Greek culture and Hockey. One day he had found a book on professional hockey players from Greek descent and decided to have a look. After combing through and reading the book he found someone extra special in there that inspired his love of goaltending, Mike Karakas. A 2 time Stanley cup champion that shined above all other greek goaltenders. Cole had always been played wherever his older brothers Nico and Calix played. Though the Pearce brothers didn’t pick up hockey until their early years of high school, they were all pretty darn good athletes. At 16 years of age Cole Pearce stands at a whopping 6’8” and 195 lbs. He could’ve easily chosen a career in basketball with that path, but because of his passion for hockey he had developed at a young age, he made the unexpected choice to pursue hockey instead. Cole served as backup and practice squad player for the young Thessaloniki Titans club. Though with his size, there was enough raw talent that he quickly worked his way up to starter for the team and perform very strongly during games and practices for the team, before they would fold in later time. With the Pearce brothers all having so much talent it was an obvious choice to look elsewhere to continue their hockey careers. Being such standout players in Greeks small hockey community made it easy for other, much larger, and skilled teams to take notice of them. Through much recruitment and many offered spots on other teams Cole’s parents decided on letting Cole leave to go to the United States and play for the Prestigious Shattuck-St.Mary’s hockey team. Only about 3 to 4 hours south from where his oldest brother Nico was playing division one hockey at for the St. Cloud State Huskies. After finishing his seasons playing for the Shattuck U16’s and U18’s as their starter Cole was approached by Minnesota Storm GM @Laine. Cole would be one of the lucky few kids his age to make the move from the U18 level directly to the professional level where he will serve as a late season backup for the Minnesota Storm and for their soon to come playoff battle.
