And extremely controversial player from Latvia, Sirdsvaldis Miglasķēms, has declared himself for the VHL Entry draft. His previous career has been cut short due to his inability to keep his discipline up to the standard the Latvian Hockey League expects from his players. 

 

Sirdsvaldis has been previously ranked by Dinamo Riga (KHL) scouts as “Absolutely terrible player without any real talent for the game. His role on any team shouldn’t be much more than a water boy or an assistant to the assistant of the Equipment managers assistant. Dinamo Riga would not select him in the KHL Draft even with the 20th round pick!” 

Recently, Sirdsvaldis Miglasķēms was evaluated in his practice showcase by the VHL player Marshall James Frostbeard. “I would say that at an overall look at Sirdsvaldis, you clearly can see the potential of being the worst player to even play in VHL!” Marshall said, “I would not draft him, however, if there are any teams that might want to make a wild pick and  select this, not even beer league material of a player, I think under the right leadership, he might even learn a thing or two.”

 

Sirdsvaldis Miglasķēms Pros: 

 

1. Passing ability. 
The one thing you can clearly see has been developed fully is the passing ability. Sirdsvaldis has the eye to actually see the simple passes that lead to great goal scoring opportunities. With the right wingers on his sides, he can be a member of a truly devastating line. 

2. Physical play. 
His hitting ability is magnificent. Sometimes, Sirdsvaldis is not the best possible player as he takes wild hits that can result in game misconducts and suspensions, however, that doesn’t take away from his fearless ability to lay his body on the line. 

3. Defensive mindset. 
Sirdsvaldis has developed a strong presence on the defensive side of the ice. He has some skill at blocking shots and he has the ability to take up the role of the 3rd defenceman if needed.

 

Sirdsvaldis Miglasķēms Cons:

 

1. His overall game. 
He is a terrible player. As a complete package, you are looking at a player who is not willing to learn any new skills, he is just willing to develop the existing ones and before a dominant centre player without real talent for the game. 

2. His off-ice persona.
Sirdsvaldis has the big issue of having an ego that triumphs over his ability to play the game. He is not gonna be a great person to have in the LR due to his extensive hate towards everyone who is playing better hockey than he is. Miglasķēms should not be allowed to represent the team in any press conference as that will end in a complete failure. 

 

Overall, Sirdsvaldis Miglasķēms is a player that really has no place in VHL but considering that VHL teams have previously drafted players like HHH and Morpheus, there is a pretty big chance that Miglasķēms will find a place for him to play in VHL.
