Rumors were circulating that Jonathan Ori and the Helsinki Titans were working on a contract extension and today it was confirmed. Ori has signed a two year extension with a mutual agreement for a third year. The deal pays him 4 million for season 82 season and 3 million for season 83 and if they agree to it season 84 as well, although these numbers can/may change. Jonathan Ori is actually the only player signed beyond season 82 currently, but that will change when more names are brought up and the team is likely talking extensions with several other players. Current UFA's are Creed (center), Joseph Sharkton (center), Trevor Wallace (right winger), and Cater Bellamy (goaltender). The only player that might get resigned is Joseph Sharkton, but he's further into his career as he was drafted in season 76, if he did get an extension we can't imagine it's be a long one, just a one deal as more young playera come up, the team probably wants to give them the playing time.

Let's not forget the team will be picking up a ton of talent in this years draft to, they have the first and second overall picks and 11th overall, not to mention four in the second round, so they must make sure there is cap space in the future as Helsinki could quickly become loaded with talent, and talent requires good pay checks.
