The Express Gazette (Volume IV: Tales from Isolation)

Hello community, hello friends, and hello rivals. I write to you today not from my usual city, state, or even country, but from a tiny island in the Caribbean where I, the goat you know and love, have been put in isolation for testing positive for the Covid-19 virus. To start I'll give the obligatory, yes we tested negative before flying down here, yes we felt absolutely fine and got to enjoy the first 3 days of our vacation, no we do not have any symptoms of the virus whatsoever, yes we both have 2 vaccination shots and the booster. We is of course my girlfriend and myself, no one else is with us in this extremely boring isolation period.

 

What started out as our first real trip out of the country together has ended up in a "worst case scenario" where we'll have to take extra time off of work just to stay down in this country which we did not pack nearly enough clothes for and remain in isolation for a full 10 days with no opportunities to present a negative Covid test before then. While obviously very lucky to be young and have our health, have the means to go to the Caribbean, it's very frustrating to have our week taken over by this pandemic which has taken over the world for the last two years. Not to mention that I was able to avoid getting Covid in the largest city in the US for basically 2 full years only to get it in the one time I didn't want to the most. Now the good news for you all is I'll probably be around the forum and discord a little bit extra over the next week, so expect a healthy dose of Barzy while we sit here in never ending boredom and room service.

 

This is VHL related because I am a member spending more time in the VHL due to my isolation. Get vaccinated if you have access, save lives.
