Yes, Again more random thoughts since I really just don’t have the time to think of an actual article to write; which isn’t the truth but more I don’t feel that I would do it justice by quickly slapping something together with limited to no data to back up the article. Either way here is what I am think about the VHL or in general as of Dec 21st, 2021 in JST time since I am head by a day to most in the VHL. Either way I am waffling again so here are my thoughts……

 

Disappointment at the news that career long team mate (Dominic Gobeil)  has decided to call it a career a full season early and all but hands my player Robert Bouchard; the Prague second best points totals only behind the great Laundry II. I was hoping to have a final season showdown to see who would claim that spot and to see if one of might be able to nip at Laundry II. But this will be a solo act; which actually make me sad since we have been tied to the hip since join the league; joined 5mins apart from each other; Faced off against each other in Founders` cup Final; Which my team won and then rookie season/ career long team mates in Prague. Dominic Gobeil will be missed next season in Prague.

 

Chase is on for Laundry II records in Prague. As mentioned above I was hoping for a two player attack/chase on Laundry II records but this will now be a solo act.

 

Currently third behind Laundry II and Dominic Gobeil with 187 goals with 78 goals required between the end of the season and next season means I think Laundry II will maintain his top spot as goals in Prague all time history. Robert should be able to leap over Dominic by the end of next season after the sad new that Dominic decided to retire early to work at McDonalds.

 

Assist record isn’t actually held by Laundry II as he missed this record by a single assist as this record is held by Wolf Stansson Jr at 336 assist meaning Robert is currently 74 assist behind. This is one is clearly in reach if he continue to put up a point per game and the 64 assist average; it really will be determined by the end of the season if Robert actually has chance or not at this record.

 

Total points is again an Laundry II record at 600 and I remember when he reached this career milestone as I never expected that Robert might have an actual chance at 600 himself; and I might be writing this prematurely since I haven’t checked the stats line yet but either way I feel that this career milestone is all but safe. And I am right as Robert is currently 150 points back of the mark so will be luck to reach the 550 points career mark by the end of next season. Meaning Robert will finish second in career points in Prague history.

 

When all is said and done; (yes I am already starting to reflect on my first players career as other around him have retired) but he should finish second in career goals, in the top three (if not top) in career assist and second in career points in Prague history.  That is at the end of the day an impressive career in the terms of being a Prague player. While his stats might not be good enough for VHL HOF; he will at least be remembered at least in Prague; which makes me very proud.

 

Playoff stats at the current time haven’t been checked (not true but I don’t want to write about them now when they are still undetermined and this is already long enough) but will be looked at once Robert Bouchard actually finish is career at the end of next season.

 

Good Luck Dom in retirement and good luck with your new player. You presence will be missed next season. It was a good career that sadly I think ended prematurely without any championships or awards.
