I like the background you used, and I always appreciate it when people make graphics that try to be something--in this case, a trading card. I'd probably have some criticisms for the text and its placement/font if it weren't for that, but I think with what you're going for it works fine. I also like the jersey swap.

 

My main criticism is about the player render--it's just very low-resolution. This would probably be helped somewhat if you made the final image smaller, but a better solution is just to find a better picture in the first place. Find out how to use Advanced Search on Google Images--it will let you filter pictures by size, and you can pick a larger one so it's more clear.
