Standard weekly vhl.com piece for affiliate claims this week. Bunch of small stuff has happened, nothing super major though which is nice.

 

- Ran the first set of finance contract adjustments which was nice, a good practice run before tonight's/tomorrow's depreciation run that will require all of the S75-S77 players to get their contracts adjusted. Not that difficult overall, and the portal does make auditing all of the contracts for minimums quite easy.

 

- Draft was tonight, Moscow's first pick was the second to last pick in the 2nd round, so thought I'd be chilling. Turns out I am partly responsible to formally approve VHL trades on the portal, which impacted the draft, so there was a little bit of excitement there. Approved a few trades, felt all high and mighty for like 3 seconds. Was pleasantly surprised with who we were able to select, and I'll talk about it more on tomorrow's episode of the Spartcast!

 

- My first ever draft picks for Moscow, Duncan Idaho and Paul Atreides, are set to depreciate this season which is pretty crazy to think about. I really don't feel like I've GM'd Moscow for that long, that my first members of our core are beginning the end of their careers. Kinda cool to experience the entire career of a player you drafted, since I never had that in the VHLM as players depart within a season or two. Also sad to see that the people that I've worked with for such a long time are starting to regress, indicating the end is beckoning. Hope we can make the final seasons count!
