Legion Making Final Preparations For Season 82

TORONTO - The thrill of the Season 81 campaign behind them, the Toronto Legion now set their sights on following up on their strong year in Season 82. The excitement over defeating the Los Angeles Stars in the Wild Card Round has passed, the glum bitterness of facing the ruthless buzz-saw of the Vancouver meta behind them. The shock of Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy finalist Otto Numinen's sudden retirement has eased, bolstered by Toronto's new prospects, defenseman Bo Johansson and forward Phoebe Bridgers. The disappointment of Harkat Mulds' absence from off-season training lingers, but the Legion have carried on with a simple mantra.

"We cannot control who is here," stated goaltender Oskar Lindbergh following a voluntary off-season workout, "But those of us who are here can control how hard we work."

Indeed, those who are present at Toronto's facilities have been pushing themselves to be even better. Lindberghfor example, has pushed himself to be as prepared as possible, aiming to surpass 600 practice hours before the beginning of the regular season. Pushed into a bigger role due to Mulds' absence, Armani Calamari has made significant progress as he prepares to handle the added pressure of having a stronger sophomore season. Rookie defenseman Cadmael Ixazaluoh has also had a very strong off-season, and looks to be a difference-maker in his first season in the VHL with Toronto. With free agent defenseman Jan Hlozek opting to re-sign with the Los Angeles Stars and no develops on free agent center Its Gucci, it seems as if the current Toronto roster is going to be what they roll with in Season 82, and the Legion seem quite fine with that.

"WE ALL WE GOT, WE ALL WE NEED!" could be heard booming from the locker room following a voluntary off-season skate. After a long off-season, Toronto seems ready to build on their success going into the new season, stronger than before and ready to put the league on notice.
