xNJDevilsFanx 126
The Las Vegas Aces as we speak are at .500 with a 13-13 record. We are ranked 4th in our division and just outside the playoffs in the VHL. The number 1 thing that our team doesn't have right now is consistency and that's fine because we are in the perfect position to change our record. A streak of games could easily have us challenging for our division. It's all about timing and consistency. I've been picking up a lot of penalties recently and I'm sorry for that. I'm just getting heated in the heat of the moment. But, I've scored 2 goals with my team so that's always a plus. My scoring has improved massively from the start of the season and that's the main reason why I got those 2 goals. I've worked on my craft and it's paid off for me as a result. Overall, we are the 7th best team in the VHL. Although that doesn't sound exciting to a normal ear, the standings are still stacked and very close. A slip-up can put us in the top five, so we need to understand that winning is vital and important if we do want to make the playoffs this season. The Philadelphia Reapers are on a roll with a 4 game winning streak. They have a 24-3 record. Behind them are the Houston Bulls who are 20-8. The Miami Marauders who are 17-7. The Saskatoon Wild who are 18-10. The Mexico City Kings who are 15-12. The Ottawa Lynx who are 13-11. The Las Vegas Aces who are 13-13. The San Diego Marlins who are 10-14 but are currently on a 3-game winning streak. The bottom 2 teams in the VHL are the Halifax 21st and the Mississauga Hounds. Onto the VHL we go as the Rome Gladiators are on top with a 20-6 record. Behind them are the Cologne Express, Istanbul Red Wolves, Stockholm Vikings, Geneva Rush and the Bratislava Watchmen who are all over .500. The only teams that are not have been the Oslo Storm and the Vaster as Iron Eagles. It's going to a fight for the playoffs in the VHL. I've never seen a standing as stacked as that. Now, the main league is the VHL. The Vancouver Wolves with a five-game winning streak stand tall at a record of 22-3. Behind them are the LA Stars who have a record of 19-7. Then it's London United, Calgary Wranglers, Riga Reign, Prague Phantoms, Malmö Nighthawks, Toronto Legion, Warsaw Predators and the Seattle Bears who are all over .500. The Moscow Menace are the only team at 500 with a record of 13-13. Now for the teams that are under .500 and are lottery teams. We have the Helsinki Titans, New York Americans, HC Davis Dynamo, D.C. Dragons and the Chicago Phoenix. Weird how there's a team called the Chicago Phoenix, but we'll move on. I have my money on the LA Stars actually winning. I think they will upset the Wolves but time will tell. jacobcarson877 2,578
I hope you’re enjoying your time in Vegas, and it is always nice to watch your scoring increase as the season goes on. I think your article about just how close all 3 leagues are is a great idea. I would have liked to have seen some more exciting organization in your Media Spot. Some paragraph separation, maybe some subtitles, and maybe even a couple of pictures. You had a lot of things to say and it all read well, so I am excited to read what you have to say in the future. 7/10 Edited February 15, 2022 by jacobcarson877 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/116430-first-review-as-an-ace/#findComment-910469 Share on other sites
