Ori four seasons into his career, contract extension talk?

Recommended Posts

Jonathan Ori is now halfway done with his VHL career, as players that joined before season 80 can only play a max of eight seasons. Ori is halfway through that and he has spent it all with the Helsinki Titans. The team has yet to make the playoffs although they have made upward progress since season 80, in season 79 the team earned just 48 points, that wasn't the low though as season 80 the team earned just 43 points. The team made a big jump for season 81 getting 66 points, and for the most recent season they earned 72 points and were in the mix for most of the season. The biggest problem was the lack of defense on the team, while the team has great forwards and a great goalie the blue line was the reason they fell short. Johnston was traded meaning someone has to fill his spot and a lot of rookies should come up for season 83.

Ori has one season left on his contract and Ori has told us himself that there are no contract talks currently, and that he's not interested in them either. "I'm going to see where the team is at and how I'm feeling after the season, I'll only have three seasons left and I'll want them to count." Through four seasons Ori has managed 65 goals, 179 assists for 244 points. He has 6 game winners, 18 power play goals and 2 short handed goals.
