Traveling History with William Groves Part 11: Into Istanbul

Recommended Posts

What a better way to end my time as a junior than to finish up my blog on my favorite things to do and see in VHLE cities. The World junior championship is behind me. I worked hard for that bronze metal But with that over with, it's time for me to look forward to play with my VHL team. But before that, A final look back at a VHLE city. Istanbul has a long history with various cultures and people having an impact on this city. Big tourist destinations like Hagia Sophia, the Hippodrome, Galata Tower, and Topkapi Palace are all worthy of your time. I enjoyed wandering around the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Market seeking unknown treasures. Eminonu Square and Galata Bridge are fantastic places to  chill and people watch. Istiklal Street is great when you are tired of ancient structures and want so more of the modern day. The food is different from what you will find in the other VHLE cities and the people are friendly. There are many other things to do in Istanbul, but those are some of my favorites. I am happy I have had a chance to visit this city. There will be no post for next week. I would like some extended time with my statewide friends and family before I get ready to move to Helsinki. Goodbye for now.
