Which draft pick is the best?

*Disclaimer*

The players listed are only from the S67 draft to the S78 draft. I used the VHCS post draft rankings and was too lazy to go any further than S67. Also I did not want to go further than the S78 draft class since this is the most recent draft class to experience depreciation (peak in their TPE career if that makes sense).

 

So recently I was curious to see which VHL draft pick (in the first round) makes the most TPE throughout their career. I always wondered if late first round picks are worth having or if early picks are not always worth your buck. So, here is my work which took WAY TOO LONG TO COLLECT. Thank you.

Conclusions

 

So after looking at these spreadsheets, it is clear to see that:

• going second overall is better than first overall
• 4th overall is overrated
• 5th overall is slept on
• 9th and 11th overall are VERY slept on
• 15th and 16th overall suck, there is only a few sleepers
