A New Season

 

DAVOS - Outside, the world is a beautiful place. The grass is turning green again, flowers are blooming and the UPS guys are starting to wear shorts again. It's a brand new season in the Victory Hockey League as teams are playing their final games of the regular season, some of them going home for the rest of the year. But the rest are gearing up for the new season, known to us as the VHL Playoffs.

 

A team's record means everything during the regular season, for it gets you through the door. But once you get there, everything a team has done up until that point means nothing. You scored 60 goals in 72 games during the regular season? It doesn't matter if you score none in the next four, or you'll be gone just as fast as you got there. Great players are made during the regular season, but legends are born in the playoffs.

 

Soon enough, a new champion will be crowned. Everything will be on the line, who will answer the call and raise the Continental Cup?
