Ivan Retoslav, Off a Cliff For The Fifth Time?

Ivan Retoslav, just days after signing a $3M contract with London for S83 has proceeded to fall flat on his face in the VHLE. After scoring the team's first goal of the pre-season, Retoslav was riding high. He then went and didn't score a single point until 3 games later when he got an assist. His next point didn't come until another 3 games later when he put up 2 assists in a game. Retoslav finished the pre-season with 4 points in 8 games, an underwhelming performance from the young Russian after he went 2nd Overall in the VHLE draft and 12th in the VHL draft. Although Retoslav is yet to play in a VHL game, he has established a reputation for having slumps often and being very inconsistent. An example of this from last season is from right after he was traded to Houston, Retoslav put up 3 points in his first game back in San Diego and then proceeded to not put up another point for the next 4 games. That performance resulted in a drop to the 2nd line where he started actually scoring, (35 points in the last 22 games of the season). Many are wondering if Retoslav may actually turn out to be the bust of the draft. @Dil, the GM of Vasteras defended Retoslav saying, "It's his first season playing against players that actually can out perform him, give the kid a break. If he continues to under-perform we will adjust accordingly, right now we are not looking to change our lines. We will give him a chance to adjust from the speed of the VHLM into the speed of the VHLE. We'll see what happens throughout the season and go from there." Apparently every single GM loves Retoslav because he has had both Frank and Dil defend him.
