Looking at the standings, it seems obvious the European Conference is the dominate one. So many good teams compared to the North American Conference. For example, the second place team in North America would be in fourth place in the European Conference. The second place team in Europe would be the second place team in North America. Another indicator of the strength they have is the goal differential. Only two team in North America are on the plus side while only two team in Europe is on the negative end. I have no idea why this is other than the luck of the draw or some other reason that I can't figure out but it sure looks weird. While Seattle has been running away from the pack in North America, there is at least one team in Europe that can compete for the top spot. Moscow and Riga battles will be interesting to watch.

I have no idea what any of this means or if it even matters. Just some random thoughts about the standings. Stay safe everyone.
