Scurvy 1,393 Posted June 1, 2022 Share Posted June 1, 2022 Well the S83 season is over and done for the Warsaw Predators after a first round loss to a very tough Riga team. The Preds played hard and despite a wonderful outing from goaltender Wumbo (.915 Save%) they just couldn’t hold up. Some costly penalties by team rookie Brian Payne had the team shorthanded a bunch in their final game. Special teams held the Riga PP off but still playing shorthanded all that time was not helpful. Some things for Payne to work on for next year. Still, there is excitement in the air for this club for next year. With some solid defenders and a talented front end the team has the makings of a championship club. A few key re-signings need to occur in the off season and team rookies Payne and Girts need to keep their development growing but things are definitely looking up for the Preds come S84.
