Ottawa Lynx forward Chip Stone has recently gone on record as saying that he feels like he "wasted the last season." When pressed for further comment, stone said this:

"Honestly, my focus kinda wasn't there. I wasn't paying attention as much as I could've been, as ridiculous as it sounds. I never gave 100% and I barely worked out off the ice. I need to be better and I know I can play better. I just haven't been. I'm looking to change that."

Stone ended his campaign in his first VHLM season posting 22 goals and 19 assists for 41 points in 72 games. "It wasn't enough. I know I can be a lethal player if I try hard enough," said Stone. Stone's family, who are former hockey coaches themselves and came to see him play during the first and final game of the season, shared his thoughts. "The potential is there, he just hasn't been trying," said his father, Jacob Stone. Let's hope the young winger decides to renew his commitment to the sport.
