All roads lead to Rome (and to the Cup) ep.26 (VHLE draft recap)

Welcome everyone,

 

We are currently in the off-season and at 8 PM EST time, it was the S84 VHLE draft and the Rome Gladiators had the first overall pick. In the last couple of days, there were a lot of rumors about a possible trade concerning Rome's first round pick. A few hours before the draft, the Gladiators traded the S84 first overall pick to the Cologne Express with Freddy Freeze @G_Rush, the S85 VAS 4th and S84 ROM 6th in exchange of the S86 COL 2nd, the S84 VAS 3rd, DJ Fire Dragon @Firekiss and James Kagelberg @MatiasMa. After that trade, the Gladiators now had two third round picks and a fifth round pick. With the two third round pick, they selected two defenseman, John Poremba Jr @CrlineDijohn14 and Zach Whelan @DontCallMeCarson. With the first pick of the fifth round, Rome selected another defensemen in Carson Hound @Ty343. The three players are expected to take part in the upcoming traning camp of the Rome Gladiators.
