DarkSpyro 981
Ash Sparks is a Canadian born goalie that Stands over 6 feet tall and weighs in at 187 lbs. He is from a small town in southern Ontario called Mount Hope, where he grew up on a farm and played hockey with his two brothers who were much older than him every night. They used to wire slapshots on Ash ever since he was a little boy. To make up for his size, he became extremely agile and athletic. Working on a farm since a young age also made him incredibly strong and very fit, and skating every night made him incredibly good on his edges. Even on his own he used to practice throwing a ball against walls and making obstacle courses around the farm so he can improve his agility. This also improved his hand-eye coordination and reaction time when he incorporated both together.  Throughout high school, Ash became the starting goalie all 4 years he attended and won 3 high school championships. He earned himself an athletic scholarship to attend University. In his University days, he played as a back up for his freshman year and then took over the starting job within the first half of the season. He would remain the starter until he graduated from University, putting up incredible numbers and even winning some personal awards but was never offered a chance to move up past that. After he graduated he ended up going to work where he started to dread the fact that he wasn’t playing hockey every day, so he joined up in some beer leagues with his work friends and would occasionally play pick-up hockey but he had felt that he was wasting his abilities.  While playing in a beer league game with some of his work friends many years later, he ended up meeting a retired VHL goalie that he knew very well but not personally after a game. This goaltender was none other than Jimmy Spyro who is a former Vancouver wolves legend and captain, sitting there in the stands casually watching his beer league game. They went to the bar and he talked where Jimmy Spyro mention how Ash was one of the best goaltenders he had seen in a long time, and ask where he played before. Ash simply responded that he had never played since he was in university outside of playing pick-up and in beer league with his work friends. Spyro was astounded with his response and immediately asked if Ash would be interested in being put into the free agency of the VHLM. Overjoyed, he definitely agreed and without a hesitation, Jimmy Spyro helped Ash Sparks find his way into the VHLM free agency, where the Houston Bulls would offer him his first contract ever to play hockey for one season at the age of 29.  (472 words) Ricer13 and AJW 2 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/124598-ash-sparks-junior-review/ Share on other sites
