badcolethetitan 938
Round 1 Playoffs: VHL (HC Davos Dynamo) and VHLM (Mexico City Kings) Round 1 Playoffs (Wildcard): VHL (HC Davos Dynamo) HC Davos Dynamo took on Riga Reign in the wildcard, first round of the playoffs. Davos ended up taking down Riga 3-2 in a super close series that honestly, Davos stole off the back of David Davis. Siyan Yasilievich had a great first showing in the first round of the playoffs, putting up 3 assists in 5 games and also having a plus/minus of 0. Siyan had showed that he can contend in the playoffs and that the experience he is gaining will be valuable down the stretch in his career. We asked Siyan his thoughts on the first round, and how he thinks Davos stacks up to Moscow, to which he said, "We had a great first round against Riga, but we for sure owe most of our success to David Davis. He was an absolute rock in the net and stole games for us that we had no business winning. Moving on, I think against Moscow it's going to be a really rough series for us. They have a ton of superstars and it seems like we are a bit outgunned, so I'm hoping for the best. Right now, it's all about getting our young core that playoff experience, including myself, so at the end of the day that's our first priority. However, a win would be great!" Davos takes on the first seed Moscow, in which lots of people have Moscow taking the series in 4 or 5. Round 1 Playoffs: VHLM (Mexico City Kings) In the first round of the playoffs, the Mexico City Kings took on the Philadelphia Reapers, which was going to be a really close series, well at least on paper. Leading the helm this series was Henry Tucker Jr, who put up an impressive .930+ sv% in the series, something that is very hard to do. The Kings were able to take down the Reapers in 5 games, which was a massive confidence boost for the entire squad, and the first win for me as a GM in the playoffs! The Kings will be taking on last season's champions in the Aces, which will be a really tough series for the Kings. The Kings have faired pretty well against the Aces in the regular season, however this is the playoffs and anything can happen. Also, back to the Reapers, @Masu Chan announced he would be stepping down as the Reapers GM, which is a bit unfortunate, because I was looking forward to a long rivalry between the Kings and the Reapers. Regardless, I wish him the best of luck and I'm sure whatever he does in the future he'll make the right decisions to potentially find himself back in a GM spot, should he desire one. On the other side of the VHLM, the Ottawa Lynx pulled off an absolute disgusting upset against the Hounds, winning in 5 games and eliminating them. On top of that, the Bulls are struggling against the 21st, which is now heading to Game 7. If the Bulls are eliminated, I think whoever wins the Aces/Kings series will win the cup. Overall, it was a great week for Siyan and the Kings and hopefully more good things happen to them!
