Henry Eagles wrapped up his sting in the VHLE finishing with 25 points in the regular season and 5 points in the post season. As he prepares for the upcoming draft we will discuss his Strengths and Weaknesses.

Strengths:

Scoring: While not getting many goals in the E this season, Henry is a consistent scoring threat. His greatest ability is putting the puck in the back of the net and he has been doing it well since he started playing hockey. He lit up the M in his short 16 games played when he scored 17 goals. His jump to the E did not go as planned but he was playing versus players who had 1 year on him and he still managed to play very well on the 3rd line. Look for Henry to keep improving his scoring and becoming an elite league leading scoring in the VHL

Strength: While most scorers don't tend to have much stregth, Henry is the complete opposite. He has been working on his strength since he entered his junior season. This has helped him stay on his feet and make it harder for opposing players to knock him off the puck. Many snipers don't focus on this stat but Henry has made it work. A sniper with a wicked shot paired with being unable to be knocked off the puck makes for a 1-2 deadly punch and a hard player to defend against

Weaknesses:

Puck Handling: One area of his game that still needs work is puck handling. Puck handling was not needed much in his junior career or in the M but Henry noticed it became a skill that was needed once he joined the E. Puck handling will help him become an even greater offensive threat and he has promised to work on this over his off-season. If he can improve this stat he will be a rookie of the year candidate if he stays up in the VHL next season.

Skating: Another area that needs improvement. Due to working on his strength, his skating has stagnated. He is good on his feet and his skating mechanics are good BUT he does not have the speed or acceleration to make a big impact on the VHL level. Henry has been working with a skating coach in order to improve this and is hoping by the time the VHL season starts that his speed and acceleration will be on par with most in the VHL.
