EA Sports have recently garnered a reputation of being one of the worst game companies currently in existence. From their inability to create a decent NFL game since 2007 and, even worse, any form of NBA game since 2009, the company has found itself under some intense scrutiny. Despite of this, its hockey series has continued to be a relative success despite some of the minor annoyances that the other EA Sports franchises receive starting to come their way (e.g. The lack of innovation between years). That success may end very rapidly however as, just days before their newest game (VHL 35, which stars Remy Lebeau on the cover), a potentially game-breaking glitch has been discovered in the pre-release demo that experts believe will see this release delayed, maybe even cancelled.

The glitch was exposed in a YouTube video where the player uses the Helsinki Titans against the Riga Reign, one of the two championship rematches available in the demo, albeit with both teams having updated rosters. While the player was playing as the Titans, he noticed the following things happening:

-          Edwin Encarnacion was skating like a professional ice hockey player, as opposed to a baby deer

-          Edwin Encarnacion was focusing on the puck rather than focusing purely on checking his opponents

-          1 minute in the game had passed and Edwin Encarnacion had not started a fight with Ryan Sullivan

-          Edwin Encarnacion didn’t spend any time in the penalty box.

We reached out to EA Sports but they declined to comment.
