Henry Eagles took a similar tour when he played for Bratislava, now that he has joined Vancouver, he decided to do a tour around the new place he will be calling home. This tour he started before the season got underway and explored some of Vancouver's top tourist attractions.

The first stop on his tour around his new home was to visit the world famous Capilano Suspension Bridge. On the tour, the tour guide mentioned that 1.2 million people come to visit this bridge annually which is a massive amount of people to just see a bridge. The bridge is 460 feet in length and is 230ft high above a towering forest. The tour guide stated that the bridge was first built in 1889. Henry had some concerns about the safety as it is quite an old bridge but he managed to make it across. " The views from up there were breathtaking, the bridge is also fun to walk on as it gives you a little bounce and the bridge sways back and forth".

Henry continued his tour and decided to visit a more serene place in order to become more composed for the season. For this he decided to visit the Dr Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese garden. This garden has become one of Vancouver's top tourist attractions as it is the first Chinese garden built outside of China. It has many Chinese huts and buildings where  you can sit and just take in nature. This garden is placed directly in the middle of the city and provides a moment to rest and recover from the day to day of everyday life. The garden has many ponds where one can sit and be in tune with themselves.

"This garden was wonderful, I got to take some time to myself and not think about hockey or the upcoming season and just listen to nature and observe the beautiful views " Henry said " It's like nothing I have ever experienced before, its so quiet and peaceful even though the busy city is just right behind the garden. The staff there are very informative and also demonstrate some Chinese practices to help you center yourself.

The final place Henry visited on this tour (and there will be more to come as he plans on staying in Vancouver for a long time) was the Vancouver lookout. This lookout reminded Henry of when he spent time in Toronto and visited the CN Tower. While the Vancouver lookout is much shorter, it still provides remarkable views of the city. The lookout was built in 1977 and during the opening ceremony, it was opened by no other then Neil Armstrong! The lookout also lights up the Vancouver skyline as it is decorated with thousands of LED lights. The lookout also provided Henry with a good 360 degree view of the new city he will be calling home. While on the lookout he also took pictures and signed autographs with Wolves fans who all wished him the best this season.

"I love going up in the sky and having a birds eye view of the city. It gave me a good idea of my new home" Henry continued " I also met some fans who recognized me and took the time to chat with them a little and do some photos. It was a fun experience and I can't wait to do some more tours around Vancouver. Maybe next time I will bring along some team-mates and we can all do something together as a team-bonding exercise"

Henry has not yet planned his next tour due to the upcoming busy schedule of the season but he plans to visit more establishments of downtown Vancouver and get a little taste of the culture.
